I think its best to wait just a bit for the high protein dose. However, I think a drink with a substancial amount of simple carbs and a bit of protein is best. I like the MRP Factor 2 by Nuclear Nutrition. ![]() ![]() ![]() | ||

I WOULD SAY, 1 HOUR AFTER WORKOUT. CORRECT ME IF WRONG BROS BUT WHEN YOU ARE INTENSELY WORKING OUT THE BODY TEMPORARILY SHUTS DOWN. THAT MEANS INSULIN IS SHOT DOWN, TESTOSTERONE AND OTHER HORMONES. AFTER WORKOUT YOUR BODY TRIES TO BRING ITSELF TO HOMEOSTATIS AND TEST LEVELS ARE HIGH AND INSULIN LEVELS ARE HIGH. I find that if I eat about 40-50gms of simple carbs following my workout, it helps kep my pump longer...I then eat about 45g of protein with some complex and simple carb mix about an hour after training...then I eat again two hours later... ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ||

HEHE, if your training for time periods longer than 45 minutes than you need not worry about impeeding upon growth hormone release. Secondly, there is no precise timeing involved. I happen to cary my post workout meal with me to the gym. It simply involves a container of quaker oats, 1-2 packets of ultramet, a squeez bottle of honey, and 4-6 IU of insulin. I eat immediately after training if I can. On some occassions im forced to wait until i arrive at home. I agreee with juice. I try to wait an hour and usually have a Mass Recovery drink out of conveinence. Twisted is right also...45min. in the gym and get out! Sometimes I'll do some light cardio after a workout, which forces me to stay an hour or so. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ||
