I've had MPB for quite some time and have been using finasteride for 2 years now. I'm thinking of incorporating Primo in a cycle with Sust, although I know that finasteride will be no help with the Primo to combat hair loss. Has anyone (already with MPB) done Primo with no hair loss? (what dosages it you use, etc..)

bb, but do you have MPB or a history of it in your family? Thanks for the reply.

gettinh, your reply is very good to hear since I've already ordered some Primo. Although not in your case, since Primo is a direct derivative of DHT, I've heard that it can actually be quite hard on the hair.

Any other experiences would be much appreciated lads. Thanks.

I suffer from MPB and have used it at 200mg a week with no problems.

I have a question for you. How is the sust on your hair. Mine fell out bigtime when I used it. (I did not take finastride during).

Yuckon, this will be my first cycle so I have had no previous experience with Sust...although most users on this board seem to be able to minimize hair loss with finasteride.

Was there any particular reason that you didn't bump the Primo dosage up to 300mg/week? Thanks for the help lads.

yes i have mpb, that is why i replied...sus250 was real bad for me, hair loss, fevers etc.. i was not using propecia at the time,...

do a search on primo, i think primo is safe in smaller dosages...trouble starts at 600 mg a week...but that is hearsay, i have no experience with dosages that high.

big pun when you say "since Primo is a direct derivative of DHT, I've heard that it can actually be quite hard on the hair" you should realize that you are a little incorrect in your reasoning. whether anything is a derivative of dht really does not matter, it is whether it CONVERTS to dht. only test converts to dht at the scalp tissues. primo and winny, etc can cause hairloss but only because they themselves are androgenic at the scalp, BUT not moreso than dht from a test conversion.

big pun... my friend did Primo he said he loved it but.. he did notice quite a bit of hairloss. he has MPB and it was going but he said it came out a lot faster using only 100mg of Primo a week. Sorry to tell you, but you could be different. Later

Yes, I believe it can cause it. I have read several times that it can cause hair loss. I am suffering from early signs of MPB and have narrowed it down to two options. Either deca only cycles or sust and finasteride. Just about anything else can cause an increase in hairloss for those prone to MPB.

msg, what I was trying to state was that when taking Primo, the use of finasteride is ineffectual because of the DHT like structure of Primo, and the fact that it is not reduced at the 5alpha position (I believe).

It's helpful to hear both sides of the story in terms of hairloss. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can determine Primo's effect without doing a Primo only cycle? I was thinking of taking Sust. for the first 4 weeks of my cycle while keeping a close eye on hair loss. Then at week 4 I think I will introduce Primo at 200mg/week to carry into week 10 of my cycle. (I will finish my Sust. during week 8) If I see extra fallout after week5, I guess I could attribute it to the Primo; how does this sound?...your replies have been very helpful lads.

My last cylce was:

500 sust/400 primo/300 Ultragan.

At about week 4 I noticed ALOT of hair falling out. Especially when I showered. It was all over my hands.

Which one of them caused this? Who knows. It was my first time using Sust and Eq. My money is on the sust as the culprit.

I had done 200mg primo before with Deca and saw no hair fallout.

Maybe at higher dosages it would have an effect on my hair?

I guess I am it the same boat as Maverick.

I am on 600 mgr Primo/week untill 22/11. I started with 200 a week, for 2 weeks, then 400 a week for 4 and now 600 a week. No hairloss so far, i am using Dercos (i don't know the name of it in the USA), BUT if i get hairloss i stop instantly.
So, Primo is save as long as you are not prone to airloss.

Fener, I use nizoral every other day (with finasteride) but I don't think it makes any difference. I am still losing the same amount of hair as I was when I was just on finasteride. I just hope that the finasteride is effective enough when I start my cycle. BTW, what kind of results did you get from your cycle?
