Just wondering why you deleted the thread started by twisted steel on Novaldex. I mean, it was a well thought out discussion. So I'm just wondering why? godspeed     | ||

Ya' know, I don't believe some of the "missing threads" are intentionally deleted in many cases. I'm starting to think something strange occurs periodically via the file management process (whether it's technical, procedural, etc. I don't know and don't care). Slopain and I had an example very similar to this a week or two ago. We were trying to retrieve a thread that was active a day or two prior and neither of us were able to track it down (I'm confident with my search skills). I have also encountered this on other threads in the past. After an unspecified period of time elapses, I can "all-of-a-sudden" find the MIA file via an archive search. I've done this a couple of times. Of course, I have encountered situations where the file is "never to be seen again" also. In the latter case, I think this is when a Mod or Admin actually deletes the thread (probably with just cause). Just another ramblin' .02 cents worth. Later, | ||

I think at about 5 days, threads vanish. I have no idea where they go, most of them end up in the archives...the rest...who knows. There might even be a limit as to how many replies can jump to the archives. I doubt that any other mod would have deleted that thread, I didn't. BPP | ||

I seriously doubt ANY mod deleted that particular thread,as it was one of the best ones in recent memory.I hate when these glitches snag up the good ones though.... | ||

are we talking about "The Novaldex question" That was a hell of a thread going there. Hate to see it lost. I was wanting to print out some of that INFO. If anyone saved any of that to a text file by chance please email it to me :-) Hey Twisted Steel maybe you can start that one up again. There was another guy on there to that had some good comments. But honestly I have had the same problem with being able to find threads lately too. |
