Not me either...most I ever got was 400 (not even 405) at a weight of 188..and natural at the time... Now when I go over 300 lbs for reps (usuallly sets of 6-8) my shoulders let me know....Still may have to try the 405 after all these nagging injuries heal up....BTW..What is the official bench record now??? I remember it used to be Anthony Clark at over 700lbs..... who is it now and how much??

Wish I could help, 415 for 3 is the best I've gotten so far. 600lbs is incredable.

no...but being that we are on the subject. I tried a BP program a few months ago with my brother that added 40 pounds to my bench in about 7 weeks..it brought to about 425...and I wasn't on any gear. If you follow it to a TEE it will work....my brother had simliar results. I'm curious to try it while on a cycle. It is easy to overtrain on it (with no gear) so like I said ..follow it to a tee. CHECK it out:
www.musclemedia.com/training/bench/benchintro.asp

I have NOTHING to do with MM2000 by the way...

my best bench is 540lbs. for 1 rep. I always said that I would stop benching heavy after reaching 500 but now 600 seems within reach. I just need to find some supplements to give me the edge. the record in the bench is almost 800 lbs by a. clark there is another guy named james henderson who has benched over 700 lbs without a bench shirt or wrist wraps.

The only 600 lb bencher I recall from this board was Grip.

My best is only 315 for 6. That's on incline, though, as I stopped flat benching a few years back. Not that terrible for an old man.

515x1 at the end of my last mass cycle. I didnt really work up to it and wasnt focusing my routine on maxing out at the time. With a little work I may have gotten to 550.

E2,

One of my training partners can do 610 at BW of 305lbs. I think the Big plus to it is having or developing extreme tendon strength. Plus weighing alot helps. He trains mostly for power. And spends 6 to 8 week rotating intervals focusing on his big three (squat,Deads, bench). With supplemental work on the rest of his body. His theory being you can only focus on and improve one lift at a time.

His gear regimen is very basic 750/1000mg of SUS a week--d-bol--and he bridges with EQ or primo.

But best the tip (trick) he showed me was to use a SLIGHT arch in my back and..inhale as much air as possible (expanding chest size) lower the weight to the base of the sternum (which should be the highest point on your body when doing using this technique) and push the weight in a more forward (toward feet) motion rather than a backward J motion. This for me decreased the distance the weight had to travel by 8 inches and once I got the hang of it it gave me instant 30lbs on my 1rm.

Hope some of this made sense,

IG

Almost forgot....

Grip strength is also a Huge plus he (and as do I) use a device called Captain of Crush. I really tough to hold big weight and is murder on the hands, this device helps out big time. (plus being able to crush an unopen beer can at party is almost as cool as a big bench)

My training partner hit 495 for 2 last week at a bodyweight of 265, although he still has a pair of chicken legs. I'm hovering around 405 now at 202 bodyweight. I just started my cycle and would like to reach and maintain 215-220. A 450 bench would be nice, Although I don't know if my skinny arms will hold up.
