I've heard guys on this board say that it's better to have packages shipped to a PO Box than to a home addy. But, if you have to use your real name to get the box, what's the difference? Where I live, you need to show two forms of ID (one w/picture) to even get a box at the post office, and Mailboxes, etc. requires an ID, too. So what's the advantage?     | ||

Send it to "boxholder". One of the mian advantages is that if customs siezes a package they are less likey to search your house than if you had it sent to a P.O. Box. If you have it sent to your house and they find it, they are probably gonna want to search the house, but that really depends on alot of things. It is safer in this respect. | ||

You need 2 ID's by law everywhere, send it home if your not worried or to a po box if your home mailbox isnt ideal. Its up to you, a search will yield some debates on this one. Slopain | ||

Maverick, the local postoffice told me they won't accept packages to "boxholder". have you tried this with any success? | ||

i told the postmaster i was settin the box up for my roommate and he bought it and just asked what his name was and i gave him a fake name and he set it right up for me, but i got one problem, the box is already flagged by customs, so no more overseas orders to it. mike ------------------ | ||

No but I have herad of others that do. Just for the record, I always use the name on the P.O. Box, which usually is a friend's box. I have a little deal with my friends that I give them cheap "supplements" and they let me use their P.O. Box. Alot of people use their real name. Usually, if it is a small order and it gets seized by customs, all you will get is a customs letter. | ||

Thebest thing to do is get a close, trustworthy friend from out of state, open a box for you. Not to mention, have him tell the clerk that there will be another name on the account and give a fictacious name. Take the keys, use the box and there is no paper trail that can connect you to him.
