Hello to my big brothers !! What do you think, is it possible to loose hair just taking Proviron ??? I've tooked 2 Proviron per day plus Clomid eod and 1 finasteride/day and felt that i've lost some hair... oh shit !!! Could be those drugs, or is just my genetics ?? I was also on a high fat diet (ketogenic), could the "too much fat" help on loosing hair ?? Just one more (sorry), i thinking to come back on the keto diet, with Primo, Winny, Proviron and Clomid. I will be taking Finasteride, should i be worried with hair loss ??? Thanks for the support !!! ------------------ Take Care.

Although I have never used Proviron, I would say that it is entirely possible that it causes hairloss, since it is structurally very similar to DHT. In any case, taking finasteride will not help at all with Primo, Winny or Proviron. You are just throwing your money away. Your best bet is topical spironolactone or flutamide.

Leroy, Testosterone converts to dihydrotestosterone(DHT) in the scalp greatly affecting hairloss in those genetically programmed. To convert from testosterone to DHT requires enzymes known as 5-alpha reductases (5AR). Finasteride is a 5AR inhibitor. By inhibiting this enzyme, it largely prevents the conversion of testosterone to DHT. DHT is much stronger than testosterone and is greatly responsible for balding. Now most anabolic steroids (AS) are structurally very similar to testosterone, but they have different metabolic pathways (they convert to different substances). Some AS do use the 5-AR enzyme to convert to a different metabolite. Others, which include Primo, Winstrol, and Proviron, do not. Therefore, since the 5-AR enzyme is not used in the 'conversion' of these drugs, inhibiting it is of no use. That is why I stated that you would be throwing your money away if you use it on a cycle with those drugs. Spironolactone and Flutamide are 'androgen blockers'. This means that they will compete with AS for 'docking' to the androgen receptor. They are applied topically to the scalp and will work somewhat with most steroids. They are not 100% effective, but probably better than nothing. Spironolactone is available from http://www.minoxidil.com. Flutamide is much harder to get. It is available in Mexican and maybe some European pharmacies without a prescription. In the USA and Canada, a prescription is necessary. They come in tablets or capsules that have to be crushed into a powder, mixed with minoxidil, and applied to the scalp.

AM, thanks a lot for all the info bro !! Just one more thing, do you think that using Test with Finasteride will hold my hair better then using Primo and Winny ??? ------------------ Take Care.

My best guess is that if you used enough finasteride (say 2.5 - 5 mg/day) it would be easier on your hair than a combination of primo and winny. So my answer is probably, but I can't say with a high degree of certainty. |
