No Draper didn't do an 845 squat, they are 45s. I used to train at a gym that had some FAT plates like this leftover from the 70s. Made you FEEL like you were squatting the world. Kinda psyched me out...

They are 45's because the hundreds are flat all around. Those ones swoop in. Check the bars on top of the rack...they are warped also. So much weight has been put on that bar it is permanently fucked.

to tell u the truth i wouldnt be suprised if that bar WAS produced bent by the comnpany maybe to give better levrage or more confort. like i dont think a humen neck can bend steel.HAHAH we are still humans, hopfully the sciences of the future will change that =) but for now im beting that bar is like that.

Yeah, I think that bar is supposed to be bent. Look at the other bar on top of the rack. But it is still bowed because of the weight.

plenty of bent bars at my gym. Mostly from guys dropping them in a narrow rack we have I think. Sometimes takes me a few tries to get a straight one...

From the Drapers, just FYI:

"Yeah, Dave alright. PS: The bars (and the weights for that matter) weren't
made as well back then. It wasn't supposed to be bent, time and hard use
made it that way. Dave now squats with a Buffalo bar, which has the same
effect, but on purpose.

He normally squats in that weight range these recent years, although
occasionally has a bum hip flare up which brings him down. Same deep range
of motion, slow piston-like perfect reps (it's fun to watch him), but no
2x4 lift, no jeans and no keds for the past 20+ years."
