Best training for abs is with swiss ball, because it allows for the full range of motion. Just put a plate on your chest and crunch away.

Abs...something I have grown to love.
I'm not one to do 1000 crunches every day. I have found that if you want the chucky abs to appear used wieghts all the time. OOH and a BF of less than 10%.

I do my ab workouts in the morning about 4 times a week.
Looks a little like this:
150 situps - sets of 20 or 25.
5x20reps weighted rope crunches
3x25reps(each side) weighted oblique work (by this I use the cable - in a standing position pull the cable down to chin level, lock your arm in close and crunch forward and to the side and hold for 2 seconds.
4x 15reps leg raises.

Rotate your ab exercises each day. Start of leg raises one etc etc - But make sure you target the upper, lower and obliques.

This takes me about 1/2 hour to go through.
Ths works well for me and I get great results.
