i read something one time that said something about how fast your muscles will grow compared to you veins. as your muscles get bigger so too do your veins. problem being that your vein growth can't keep up with your muscles since you're on A/S.

makes sense but i can't remember where i read it. but if you've been using A/S for a while, i don't see that really being the case.

i lost my posts too. just wait until you get your first "research your question you dumb ass newbie" i thought about doing it, but changed my mind.

veing growth bing important because of blood flow, or lack there of. that could be causing your numbness.

I know what you mean...sometimes that happens to me...nothing painful...just pins and needles, then I just shake it off....only happens at night though, so I am assuming it is from the way I sleep on it, but who knows.

I have the same problem. Every night I wake up at least once with my arms or hands numb. I've only been lifting for a couple of years and never had this problem before. It started happening about 6 months ago when I did my first cycle.

Shit I thought I was the only one that happened too. I have had that happen for the last year. Sometimes it is so bad that my hand is completely numb, it scares the shit out of me everytime b/c I am half asleep.

It happens to me all the time, even before my first cycle. What I think is happening is that your arms get so pumped from working out and then compound the pump with them being in a bent position, you restrict the blood flow and hence your arms fall asleep. Hell, mine do it at work!

THIS IS WEIRD! I was asking a bro about this and looked at me like I had 2 heads. I get it in the middle of the night and today when I got home from the gym, I put my hand over my head watching TV and I got pins and needles!
Gotta love this board!

It happens to me a lot, too. Never at the gym, but it happens at work and even when I am doing nothing at all. I thought maybe it was caused by the rise in blood pressure from the d-bol. Opinions?

I get this on every cycle, I don't know if it has to do with the extra blood or what, I tried to find some info, on this a couple of months ago, but to be honest I didn't spend much time. Starting next cycle soon, maybe I will look into it again.....

happens to me all the time too. Wake up in the middle of the night and my arms are all numb and then i have to kind of shake them a little bit to get the blood flowing and to get the feeling back. I hope this isn't a bad thing. i wouldn't want my arms falling off or anything else hehehehe.

Water retention. The pins and needles when you get on a cycle is most likely caused by the increased water retention produced which in turn causes pingeing on the nerves which causes this problem. It can happen when you gain weight quickly or just have a lot of water retention.

Also, you might want to see a chiropractor. They'll get those nasty spin bones off your nerves.

I had a pinched nerve in my neck that a chiro fixed for me. I was on AS at the time, I don't know if th AS had anything to do with the poinched nerve...

a little off the subject but since we are taking about strange things that happen during a cycle has anyone ever experience several muscle spasm while they were cycling. A few days ago i was jsut sitting watching a movie and all of a sudden my tricep just started twitching. it was pretty wierd watching it, it kept going for at least a minute and wouldn't go away even if i shook my arm. i also had the same thing happen with my calves in school one day. Just started twitching like crazy and everyone was looking a t my leg wondering what the hell was wrong with me. Anyone else experience this.

Littleman, i know exactly what your saying.
I'll get these muscle twitches where I've never experienced them before. My forearms,
my eye lids, under a pec. I think it was some sort of mineral deficiency as it helped when I took a multivitamin and mineral suppliment. As to tingling and numbness in the hands, unfortunately its 24/7 for me now and just worse when on. Its fullblown even now as I try to type. It gets very hard sometimes to hold onto small objects or do any fine detail activity with the hands-they just go numb and I cant hold on to anything or even make my fingers move until i shake my hands out. My hand goes numb as I drive and I have to constantly switch them. My business and trade is my hands so I have no
way to take the surgery(for Carpal Tunnel).
And 5-8 weeks out of the gym and then who knows how long till I can get full strength
back and train hard again. Im fkd> sorry for the lament but I feel backed up against a wall and thats when I get frustrated. Thanx for letting me voice- MZ.

What you describe sounds a lot like Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, something usually found in overweight middleaged females (heh, I couldn't resist it, no flame intended). TOS results from the compression of the subclavian artery, vein, and/or brachial verve plexus. This can happen as the neurovascular bundle passes through the scalene muscles. Another place is between the clavicle and the first rib. Chances are it is due to water retention or irritation in one of the muscles. If anyone reads this and is interested in learning more, email me at [email protected] stay huge, peace!

Mine falls asleep every now and then. On or OFF! One time I thought it was someone elses arm.I felt this heavy thing laying across my chest, then I picked it up. It was a damn arm and hand. I freaked. I let it go and the damn thing fell right in my face. Then I realized it was my own damn hand!

WOW! This numb hand and arm thing has been happening to me too!! I don't think it's Vit E deficiantcy tho. I was taking 1000 IU's a day and my legs started going numb. My doc said it was the E. Said it can cause nerve damage in higher does. I cut back and the leg thing stopped. Now, since I've been "on", ny arms are going numb. I have to sleep on my back with my arms on pillows the same height as my torso. What the hell???????
