hey guys, i injured my shoulder about 5 weeks ago. outer right delt, right between my bis and tris. i laid off a week and then tried to work out around it.. gotten worse.. so i laid off completely. i didnt lift in the last 3 weeks. feels a little better, but still when i raise my arm laterally i feel a little pain.. how do u guys recover from injuries? any supplements? when should i start working out? a buddy of mine told me if i start doing raises with a 10lb dumbell, that would accelerate the healing process.. i dunno. please help

You can start to train...but with light weights. If you don't have pain complaints you can try to train a little heavyer. Listen to what your body tells you. Just don't overdo it; shoulder injuries are often nasty ones. Good luck. B2B.

I dislocated my shoulder doing shoulder presses once. A shot or 2 of some noranden 200 worked for me. But if its a muscle thing and not a joint thing, I would keep working out just slow and low.

It's hard to do a physical therapy evaluation on a board, but I'll give it a try. Is the pain right over the deltoid insertion (where it inserts onto the humerus?). Do any motions besides ABduction (raising arm from side) cause pain? Is the pain deep, nagging, burning, radiating, shooting, sharp, localized, diffuse? What was the mechanism of injury? Is externally rotating the shoulder painful? I just ask because lots of things refer pain to the shoulder. Stay huge. Peace!

About a year ago I broke my collar bone, and it took that mofo 15 weeks to heal cause I kept trying to workout. And now its crooked. |
