What do you guys think about this? How often do you train them considering your bulking. The reason why I'm asking is because with a bulk cycle it is good to do them to build those big thick abs and then shed down when cutting. Just wondering what you guys think about it.

Hey bro regardless if im bulking or shredding...abs are a vital part of my work out....i feel that no matter what type of cycle you doing your weekly work outs should always have abs include at somepoint....some people devote a whole day....some add them inbetween sets...some finish there work out with it....but regardless dont avoid your abs...it will just make it that much harder when you go to the shred phase...hope this helps

later g

I feel its vital even during bulking to work abs as last post mentioned. now I do take it one step further and add weight resistance to ab exercise to build them deep. My abs though cut are not as deep as they could be so this has worked wonders for me and I can't wait to go back on stage next year with my new deep cut abs

I train them once a week. They have their own day just like every other muscle group I do. I use resistance on them. Weighed crunches and cable crunches. Works for me.

Don't neglect your abs they are part of the "muscle girdle" that supports the torso. I work mine twice per week.
