I JUST WENT LAST NIGHT FOR A SECOND CONSULTATION WITH A PLASTIC SURGEON FOR GYNECOMASTIA. MY FIRST CONSULTATION WAS ABOUT TWO YEARS AGO, BUT AT THE TIME I DID NOT HAVE THE MONEY TO GET THE OPERATION. INSTEAD, I DECIDED TO START USING A/S. LAST NIGHT I CAME TO FIND OUT THAT BECAUSE OF MY A/S USE, THE FATTY TISSUE THAT USED TO BE IN MY CHEST IS NOW FIBEROUS TISSUE. FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE BEEN POSTING ABOUT SORENESS BEHIND YOUR NIPPLES, OR A ROUGH MARBLE LIKE FEELING BEHIND THERE, THATS MORE THAN LIKELY WHAT IT IS. NOW INSTEAD OF HAVING LIPOSUCTIION TO REMOVE THE FAT, I HAVE TO HAVE INCISIONS MADE INTO MY CHEST SO THE FIBEROUS TISSUE CAN BE REMOVED. FROM WHAT THE SURGEON TOLD ME, THE LIPOSUCTION CAN NOT REMOVE THE FIBEROUS TISSUE DUE TO THE TOUGHNESS AND THICKNESS OF IT COMPARED TO REGULAR FATTY TISSUE. THE OPERATION IS 3500 DOLLARS AND I WILL BE UNABLE TO TRAIN FOR THREE TO FOUR WEEKS DUE TO RECOVERY TIME. HOPE MY INFO HAS HELPED... ZEUS

from what he told me, they make the incisions for the tissue removal at the bottom half of the nipple, and will require stitches, but will not leave any noticable scarring. the incisions for the lipo are small enough that they dont need stitching and heal completely without scars.

thanks bro and good luck.

YES 3500 IS THE COST OF THE CUTTING, THE ANASTESIA, THE HOSPITAL STAY, AND THE DOCTOR FEE. THEY WILL NOT NEED TO REMOVE EXCESS SKIN THANKFULLY BECAUSE OF THE AMOUNT OF MUSCLE THAT HAS DEVELOPED UNDER THE FAT TISSUE. WHAT THEY WILL DO IS REMOVE THE FAT AND FIBER TISSUE, AND REPLACE IT WITH SALINE. THIS SALINE OVER A COURSE OF A FEW DAYS WILL PARTIALLY DRAIN THROUGH THE INCISIONS AND THE REST OF IT WILL DISSOLVE. THE SKIN WILL PULL UP NATURALLY AS THE SALINE LEAVES.

Yeah I really need to get mine done. I am going to look into it for winter break. I developed mine during andro use. AS never effected me and I was taking t-200 among other things. I have also slightly had the condition growing up through puberty. Now that I am in college and have some money for myself, I think I am going to look into getting it done. I really need to. The only things I am worried about is getting a bad doctor and him screwing me up forever, and the recovery time.

THANKS FOR THE POSTS FELLAS. THE CHANCE OF THE SKIN FORMAL ANY TYPE OF INDENTATION OR IRREGULAR SHAPE IS VERY RARE. BECAUSE I BUILT MY CHEST UP SO MUCH IN AN EFFORT TO LOSE SOME OF THE GYNO, ONCE THE FAT TISSUE IS REMOVED, THE SKIN WILL FORM TO THE MUSCLE. ITS ACTUALLY FUNNY THE WAY THE SURGEON TOLD ME, I WOULD HAVE ONE HELL OF A CHEST IF IT WASNT FOR THE GYNO WEIGHING THE SKIN DOWN... BUT SOON THAT WONT BE A PROBLEM. IF ANY OF YOU GUYS GET THIS DONE, EMAIL ME AND LET ME KNOW HOW YOU MADE OUT! GOOD LUCK! ZEUS

Insurance WILL NOT cover it because it is done by a plastic surgeon and is NOT considered health threatening. Now however if you had been in a car wreck recently, you could hopefully get your gyno surgeon to claim it is scar tissue and needs removing. One dr. does that back home because he specializes in gym rats who have gyno.

Some other side effects are that your nipples can invert and you will not have the pointy little nip again. sort of like a small belly button.

Does anybody know if I told my doc that they were painful. I have natural gyno and was thinking of saying that they hurt when I lift almost to the point of making me stop. If I can get insurance to cover it, I will probably do it....although belly button nipples sounds preatty bad...

HEHE BELLY BUTTON NIPPLES, HAVENT HEARD THAT ONE YET. NO, INSURANCE WILL NOT COVER IT DUE TO THE FACT THAT IT IS "COSMETIC" SURGERY. IF SOME HOW U COULD COME UP WITH A REASON WHY THE GYNO IS LIFE THREATENING OR IMPAIRING YOUR ABILITY TO LOVE A NORMAL LIFE DAY TO DAY YOU MAY HAVE A CHANCE. MY SURGEON IS IN BALA CYNWOOD, PHILADELPHIA. HES ONE OF THE COUNTRY'S BEST PLASTIC SURGEONS WHEN IT COMES TO LIPO.

guys, i live in canada and i'm getting my gyno removed FOR FREE!! That's right, my insurance is covering it 100%. I went in for my first visit with my plastic surgon and he looked at it, and then said do i want it fixed... and that we can set up all the papers...etc! I said "how much will it cost me?" and he told me nothing i will be covered under insurance. He said that he'll have to write them a letter saying that i'm not fat, and in shape... and the gyno is ruining my daily life because of the embarassment, self-conscious, and he also said he'd take care of it and B.S. a little. But if you tell your doctor that it hurts when it touches your shirt, you can't sleep on your stomach, it hurts when you take a shower...etc... i'm sure there's a way you can get it covered. Well if anyone want my doc's info.... just email me..... i live in BC, Canada!

hope this helped
aky!

Zuess - I had my gyno removed in the US covered under my insurance. Find a sly doc and he can influence your insurance carrier. My doc said he had to know if the gyno was cancerous and arranged to do a biopsy. The biopsy involved removing the entire gyno. How convenient. It costs about $4000 in the KC area. Ive had hematomas develop from the removal and had to have them cut again. I still have some swelling in the nip after removal on Aug 1. Im not completely happy with it yet but Im glad they are gone.

THANKS FOR YOUR INPUT GEAR. THE ONLY PROBLEM WITH MY SURGEON IS THAT HE GOES STRAIGHT BY THE BOOK. HES NATIONALLY KNOWN AND WELL RESPECTED SO UNFORTUNATELY I KNOW HE WONT PUSH THE INSURANCE FACTOR. HONESTLY, I DONT MIND SPENDING THE MONEY. FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE GYNO, EVEN IF IT WASNT CAUSED FROM AS/S USE, U GUYS KNOW WHAT ITS LIKE. SO FOR ME IM HAPPY JUST TO KNOW IT WILL BE GONE SOON..

I had it done a few years ago, I was lucky it didn't cost me a penny, as for the surgery it went very well, after it has to be drained for 2-3 days(do it yourself) but easy, no pain at all, no scar, but I did get a funny appearance that lasted a couple of years, even now my nipples are not exactly parallel, but with hard training it gets back to what it was..don't worry...but don't forget to ask reference fron your doctor, especially if you pay for it, he won't mind...good luck
