Okay guys, here's the situation:

I did a show in mid-March of this year. After the show, i was planning to grow naturally for about 2-3 months, just to get a receptor break. Well, i moved to Hawaii in May, where it's really hard to get good, cheap gear. Needless to say, i have been clean for the past 6 months. And i have gotten very busy with new jobs that have been diverting me for a consistent 65 hours a week. So i have taken a BIG break from the gym altogether! <miskate on my part!!!>

So i decided that i NEED to get back to what makes me a complete individual....THE GYM

I was contemplating on how the experienced bros deal with getting back into the groove. i was thinking about just going in and hitting it hard right off the bat. but that
could be risky, dealing with untrained muscles. Should i ease into it with a basic monday/wednesday/friday split with moderate poundages to get the muscles trained again? I was thinking this would be the best way for 2-3 weeks, just really concentrate on
actually getting the muscle to feel some resistance for the first time in a few months.

Please tell me what your opinions are on this matter guys! Thanks in advance

PH,
I lived in makakilo for a year & loved it. What works well for me after a layoff is a 2 day split, chest & arms, back & legs. Start light, only 6-9 sets per muscle group and work up slow & when the poundages get right and your running out of carbs before you've finished the workout, it's time to change to a normal routine. I've done it 5 times now and I've never pulled or hurt anything, my 2 cents, good luck.

like you I competed in May after a year or so on and have been natural since. Moived from Texas to Florida and ahve been working out about a month after a 1 1/2 month layoff. I started similar to you two on 1 off two on two off and am now back to my normal 5 days a week 1 bodypart per day train heavy. I can say honestly I am stronger than when I was on gear and I look good though not that steriod kind of full. I will keep natural until January than will consider going back on or competing natural in 2001. It hurts a lot more but it builds character. Good luck bro e mail me if you need to go off after training natural and being sore.
