I know this might sound funny but please don't respond to people asking for sources anymore! Things have changed here on the board. Each day we have newbies jumping in here asking questions and bumping like crazy to boost their looks to other members. I believe some of this is being done to gain a false sense of trust. I have also noticed that it has become a VERY FREQUENT thing to have 3-4 emails/ day asking for sources and I have never spoken to them before. If you look at the trend and the fact that some other boards are now out of business becuase of loose-lip mistakes, we could be next! Pretend I am a newbie and I joined this site a month or so ago. In a few months I could talk the talk and gained some friends. A few e-mails later those friends are giving info to help me out in my bad situation becuase you felt safe. A little later, that source no longer responds to your email and has disapeared....I have had this happen already this year! I am not suggesting that the board should just shut up and quit but more to the degree of wake up! I will still post and help a Bro out on the board but I WILL NOT HELP YOU WITH A SOURCE! It's just not worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!     | ||

This board doesn't back or offer any sources for ANY illegal activity. Paranoi is running like wildfire, and it is contagious. Im not saying this advice isn't good advice, but this should have been practiced all along. Although the board does address illegal experiences for informational purposes, their is no laws forbidding sharing of this type of information. Other boards who offer sources, and condone open posting and 'sales' are the ones that will get hit. Elite Fitness is a clean board. Every once in a while a newbie will mistake this baord for another one and make a post asking about a source or make a source post, this will happen. You advice is good advice, but it should always be on your thoughts, not just when/if you think things are getting hot. Slopain | ||

Bro, I am not just saying this "when things are getting hot". Its just been a slow progression I have seen. Although, this site has know problems and doesn't do anything illegal because the mods do there job doesn't mean there is no risk. I am simply saying that newbies are asking each person by e-mail instead of posting now. The fact that I can come home and have e-mail asking to help a bro out everyday is fishy! This has just started in the last 3 months. | ||

Well i understand where Pup'nIrn is coming from. I've recieved emails from people asking for a source. Funny thing is, i never heard of them before, and a lot of times they tell me they never posted yet, they just have been reading for the past few months. Which i believe b/c i did that, but i never asked for a source when i wasn't posting on the board. But i will not even respond to anyone about sources unless i know them. Well i hope this all dies down... You can never be too careful brothers... We just need to watch out for ourselves, and eachother on the boards... | ||

Guys I agree that I am somewhat paranoid because of the dramatic increase in E-mails I have been getting but it is fishy! I have NEVER posted that I would provide sources or anything of that nature! (TRIES 7) I have on many occasions told people to e-mail me and I would help then one on one with a question. It might be nothing but you have got to admit that for a fat and lazy ass cop, this board would be an excellent way to get the information needed to bust people. | ||

Well as any sane person knows, no one here using illegal substances anyhow. Hence the clean board. The only reason the mods say email them to verify a source are because all the time they spend on here, they already have heard all the bitching and griping about some scammers. AND to delete the account of people who are asking for sources and polluting our boards. Right bros? ------------------

I agree 100%,the best way to lose a source is to start telling everyone about them.I hate websights that openly reveal sources,I know that i am lucky to have a couple of sources i trust but i also have enough sense to not tell everyone about them.You never know whos on the other end of an e-mail.Also picture posting "don't show your face" theres nothing like openly saying that you posses and are on such and such cycle then post your face on the board to prove you are your handle. One tape recorded deal,or e-mail copy and your mug openly displayed for anyone with a printer to print out and then BANG your busted.Be careful people if you want boards like this one to last....... ------------------ [This message has been edited by anibolism (edited September 26, 2000).] | ||

Lthrnk, your right in that aspect. The age of the 'new recruits' to this page has been very evident. There has been more bullshit on this discussion board the last 2-3months than ever before. Even after George went to the trouble of making a chat board, teenagers or those that never grew up continue to post shit topics. I think that could be also adding to the amount of e-mails I get asking for sources. | ||

Let me make another suggestion as an observer of the board. When guys make out of the blue threads like: "Hey ABC Guy.. you are the man. here is a BIG bump for you" most people can read through this or at least assume your source came through and you just listed his name. I think it's understandable for newbies like myself to patiently stick around and wait for the right person to e-mail. Slopain is right there will always be a sence of paranoia.Just a thought maybe some newbies are just as paranoid asking for help as the person giving the help.What i don't understand is the people showing pics of gear which will only provoke newbies to start e-mailing like mad hell.(don't get me wrong i LOVE those pics) [This message has been edited by Twisted91 (edited September 26, 2000).] | ||

Since we just had another newbie source post on the board. BPP put an end to it, but it was on the board for some time before it was caught. I would like to make a suggestion: Could George create an icon that we the members could click on to delete posts? Maybe even if the requirement was anyone with more than 300 posts. Now of course when you deleted a post you would have to fill out a form that would contain the original post and your reason for deleting it. And the only acceptable reason would be source posting. Just a thought! ------------------ | ||

I'm a newbie and i couldn't imagine asking for a source, common sense tells you since this is a felony with harsh consiquences(sp?) that the only info you will receive would be a scammer or a flame! I think age and ignorance plays a big part in these types of post! Train Hard or Wear a Skirt! | ||

Badatta2d has got a very valid point. I am guilty of this myself but it has got to stop starting now. I have actually found out about several sources this way so I know it wouldn't be hard for the feds to do the same. We got to be careful guys. | ||

So someone help me out here about never giving out a source name to others(and no, I don't need one and no I don't have any to give): There are at least three good sources that maintain a somewhat high profile on other boards. These guys have never scammed. Each has been around for at least a year, and I think one is pushing several years -- how come they haven't been taken down/flagged at customs? | ||

It depends Stalker. My understanding was that they were only going after domestic sources because international is alot more complicated. Are those guys domestic?? If not then they will be safe....for the time being. | ||

maverik -- Thanks for the heads up. Yes, two are intl (outside the US), while the third is not. I guess if your domestic and you keep a high profile, it just becomes a matter of "when" not "if" Big Bro come around, huh? |
