What type of carbs are good for you and which are bad? I am trying to cut up. I have been taking some Isopure protein shakes and they have 25g of carbs and only 1g of those carbs are sugar, so is this a good kind of carb?

well you are well on your way...sugar or simple sugars are very very bad for you, if you want to cut up...stick with the complex carbs, like whole wheat bread, potatos and sweet potatoes...stay as unproccessed as possible..depending on how much you want to cut up depends on how sever you want to get with your carb and dairy intake...but for now complex carbs are good and keep dairy low.

Does simple sugars include fruit and what about veggies like green beans or corn? I am addicted to milk, but fat free milk is alright isn't it?

yes fruit is fine early morning or post workout, but as with all carbs, mix them with a protein.

as for fat free milk, stay away also..see it has lactose, or what we call MILK SUGAR...it will make you look smooth and flat....your chioce as I said before, just depends on how cut you want to get...

if you truly want to get cut

No Fruit or Fruit Juices
No Dairy of any kind
No Sugar
Switch starchy carbs to fiberous carbs ( vegetables) after 7 pm

this is how I cut for contest among other things

i agree with the others, it depends on what you consider cut- up. i went no carbs for four weeks, and definately could tell a difference in my look. on the flip side though my strength did waver a little.
