I was just wondering what your diet is when you are trying to loose weight. I've been trying to eat low fat foods and low calories and do cardio for 30minutes a day. Any suggestions on this? What kind of foods do you eat?

Cut back on your carbohydrate intake,up the protein, and hit your cardio first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.30-45 minutes/daily is sufficient.

Limit your carbs to 30 grams per day. Eat 6 small meals a day instead of three big ones. A protien shake counts as one meal. Drink 10-15 glasses of water a day.

Grilled chicken breasts and tuna are good sources of protein..Even a steak if you can find a good one with little fat,,for instance a fillet..I would take in about 100 grams of carbs a day so that your body doesn't have to use your protein intake for fuel..100 grams is probably sufficient enough to fuel your body for the day,,of course this depends on how big you are also..Some people have 1 carb loading day a week like on monday they will consume 600 grams of carbs and the rest of the week they will consume only enough to keep energy levels up..I think Nasser El Sobanty practices this method during cutting stages.. If your not doing a show I wouldn't suggest cutting out carbs completly,,Your muscles will become depleted..If you are doing a show,,go on a low carb diet until 7 or 8 days until the show and then load back up on carbs..Bam Bam

The diet buld0g mentioned would be great for losing fat quickly, but you will need to keep the protein extremely high, or you will have to accept a little muscle loss.

Your metabolism will ultimately slow way down, so I wouldn't go more than 12 weeks of doing this diet without at least a one week break, in order to let the thyroid start working at a faster rate again.

I think buld0g does cheat days too...I usually have Wednesday and Sunday as my cheat days when dieting.

When preparing for my last contest, I consumed about 1500 calories a day, only taking in about 40-50 grams of carbs/day, all before noon...the rest of the calories came from protein--shakes, tuna, chicken, and egg whites--and healthy fats--flax oil, etc. I did an hour of cardio a day, split into early morning and afternoon...what gear/supplements are you planning on, or are you, taking?? Drop me an e-mail if you've got any more questions, and check out the pictures on my site...the address is below...
