I used my friends address, and I didn't use my name, or anybodys in his house. Should I just sign the fake name and send it in or what? Thats what I plan on doing, but I wanted to check and see if you guys saw anything wrong with this. Thanks,     | ||

I would just ignore the letter bro. I'm a little uncertain as to what your intent is here, but if you are going to try to get your gear I don't think you'll have much luck. And, if you are signing it so that they will immediately start the forfeiture proceedings, well they will do that anyway in two weeks. Why put your signature on anything the feds will have in their possesion? The less they have on you the better. I would just do what the rest of us have done when we've gotten these fucked up letters and ignore it. Not much else you can do about it. | ||

DO NOT SIGN the Customs letter! You will receive a notice from Customs two more times but do absolutely nothing. | ||

c'mon fellas dont be dumb and forget what your doing all together id illegal, why draw any unnecessary attention to you, when your already at risk in the first place, and penalties can be much more than a little slap on the wrist. use your head its not that hard. ------------------ | ||

I knew that my gear was gone for sure. I thought that they might investigate or something if I never sent in the letter. I'm just gonna trash it now. Thanks I'm glad I asked this question | ||

I got a letter from customs in april of 2000 and they just mailed me a copy of it saying that if i was going to claim it, it is too late and they trashed it. I would not worry about it at all. You might want to talk to your source and see if he will resend it if you show him the customs letter. | ||
