This big body builder at the gym always is showing me different stuff. And He asked me today what i squat and i said 525 he said put 455 on and check this routine out!!!
455x5 30 sec break
455x5 30 sec break
455x5 30 sec break
455x5 30 sec break
455x5 but do a 20 sec neg.. on the last one and end with the weight on the bottom of the rack!!! So u r doing 25 reps in 2min and 30 sec man my leg's are blown he said do this once a month and go up each month 10 pounds!!!! try it out!!! later

That might work for you but I fear that my legs only respond well to high volume training. I've got to squeeze out 12 reps or so to really overload my legs. I tried something similar to what you proposed before, but the gains just weren't there.

Hope it works well for you, tho, bro.

Bull:

So, would the deal be to use maybe 90 percent of your normal working load for this kind of routine? Sounds like a real killer, brother. I don't think I've got the cojones for something like that, and I squat with way less weight.

Give it a try, and get back to us on how it works for you.

BTW, I hardly ever (no, change that to Never!) see anyone doing negative reps on squats. I guess it's just too much hassle to reset the bar. Good luck with it, though.
