Do any of you receive oxandrolone for test replacement therapy or do any of you know anything about oxandrin being used in this manner? I am going to my doc on Friday and I want him to switch me to oxandrin. Oxandrin is better to use as a bridge between cycles and it will help to harden me up and to aid in fat loss. Now I am getting test cyp shots but I can get test for very cheap on my own, unlike oxandrin. I need to come up with some good reasons for him to switch me to oxandrin. I have thought of several that I plan on telling him but any info that you bros might have will really help me in convincing him to switch me. This guy has never seen a weight and will not understand my goals in bodybuilding so I can't come out and say I need a better drug to use between cycles. Thanks for any help you can provide. Giant-The key word here is "testosterone replacement". Oxandralone wont replace testosterone ie raise your lab values. Your doc is going to offer you the testosterone creams, patches, and that androgel stuff if you are "needle phobic" ------------------

Giant, just out of curiousity, what were your levels? I'm just got tested and I was only 180, and they give me this androderm shit which sucks and doesn't stay on. My doc said he can't get shots (yeah right), and made an appointment at an endocrinologist.

boxer156 how old are you and which lab did the test? The levels come back different depending on which lab did the work. [This message has been edited by ulter (edited September 21, 2000).]

I tested in the low 90s ng/dL. I figure I will have trouble getting my doc to consider oxandrin since it is not technically a drug for test replacement therapy. My insurance will cover oxandrin but they won't cover my test shots. There is no way I would use any of the creams, gels or patches. They all suck and are really inconvenient for the results you get. Thanks for your help. I guess I'll find out tomarrow yea or nea. I plan on bitching about bodyhair growth, receeding hairline, water retention, acne, etc. If I can convince him that oxandrin might have fewer of these problems I might have a chance. If all else fails I will try to get some deca out of this. Later,

I got my tests done at a hospital, and they get lower each time (I went from 271 to 180 in 6 mos). Each testing is different, but the one I had has a "normal" range of 300-800, so I am well below normal. Why don't they cover your shots??? They wouldn't cover the "androgel" but they covered the "androderm", go figure?? |
