I was at the gym today and was talking with a few buddies, and the talk of my AS usage came up. They all smoke dope, do koke, and drop acid from time-to-time, but they think I am the fucking devil for doing AS. What the fuck is up with that??? I have never even TOUCHED any illicit drugs, but they hear "steriods" and you would think I killed their mother. Does anyone else get this reaction???     | ||

Like Beezer said, ignorance. People hear all of these insane stories about steroids, and they believe everything they hear. The world is very misinformed on this subject. It's just like anything, when your ignorant to a subject, you tend to have opinions (usually bad ones) untill you learn more about it. | ||

Well, Beezer, ajc, GymRat et all are telling part of the story. Most of it is not "looking down on" AS per se, but rather fearing it because they don't understand it. There's also a problem with some of the brothers, though. That's what Slopain's talking about. There was a thread last week by shawnboy that got way out of control (I think that's what Slopain is thinking of), some Nazi from Texas chimed in with how disabled children should all be euthanized, you've got other brothers talking about fighting and boozing all the time, and then we wonder why people have a bad opinion of ironheads. Sorry to lay it on the line like this, but some of the injury to the reputation of ironheads is self inflicted. That's all there is to it, brothers. We've all got to think about that. Funny, but the biggest guy at my gym, a real 300 pound sustanon monster, is also the most generous, self effacing, deferential guy in the gym. This guy is absolutely genteel. Why? Because he's the one on gear, brothers, and he knows that he has to be like caesar's wife, that is, blameless and above suspicion. We should all follow his example. Be well, and lift heavy, brothers. People think its just a magic pill and you grow. They dont want to hear about the 10-15 hours a week you put in at the gym but thats ok Cuz usally they are small as hell. Had a guy askin me about a cutting cycle and primo today, He got mad as hell when I told him there was a 200pound min weight limit!? | ||

Ignorance and misinformation pandered by the media, but I think this is changing, slowly. There are a growing number of middle-aged professionals (men and women) who are educating themselves and finding that AAS in reasonable doses may be an effect anti-aging intervention. Problem is, if the govt. keeps up with AAS prohibition, we are simply going to create another group of illegal AAS users in this country. However, this may be what we need to change the publics' opinion and the current counterproductive draconian public policy towards AAS. F1hybrid | ||

F1hybrid is exactly right about the increasing use of AS among middleaged professionals, and how that's going to create another corps of illegal drug users. But we're used to that, we middle aged folks. Shit, I was deep into all kinds of substance use and abuse way before most of you guys were even thought of, even you, Slopain! That's one of the reasons why, in my opinion, AS use is going to go like wildfire among the older crowd, when they finally get wise to it. No, brothers, anybody who wants some enlightenment on this issue should go check out that thread that Slopain and I are talking about. It was by shawnboy, titled something like "THIS MOTHERFUCKER IS DEAD!" all in caps. You really ought to read it, just to see what kind of sick shit some of your brothers are capable of. Then, a much smarter but much, much colder dude, Dread Lord Good Guy, jumped in with how disabled people don't deserve to live because they eat but don't work. Really scarey, shit, like Heinrich Himmler or something. I swear, everytime I see that DLGG guy pop up on a thread I'm going to tell him to go fuck himself. No room in the brotherhood for that prick. i can go on forever about this topic.. check this out the high school has a reputation for being "juice daddies" just because a couple of players juice, and we are a 1a school that plays in 4a ball so they figure we have to be cheating somehow... our school's rival had a banner up at the game that said " how do u kill a bluejay(our mascot)??? then it said "well we wont have to because the steroids will... i wanted to go apeshit when i saw that.. then they cry and say well if we would all juice then we would be good too...go fucking juice then dont cry to me about it!!! ------------------ | ||

general ignorance, medical ignorance from not knowing anything about the drugs, general fear of getting in shape--so they cop out by saying there bad, also cause a juicehead looks good and is full of confidence ready to take on the world--this is bad cause the govt rather us be more doorment-so they say we rage and are uncontrollable, ignorance b/c they can get you in better physical shape and this creates jealousy since 85% of avg. population are overweight fat slobs. the only real reason to look down on AS w/any kinda of backing is the ability to abuse them, in which some assholes have--in turn giving them a bad rep. ------------------ | ||

i think you all have made good points. it certainly is an attack from multiple fronts. here are the ones i think are the worse: Media - was a special on NBC about the communist German drug use in the 70's and 80's and how one of the women actually got a sex change because of it. of course they put the spin that all steroids will do that shit. well um, dont give women test!!! Fat Shithead Mentality - "i can get in shape if i wanted." "if i took that pill i could be as big as you" etc. Ignorance - no explanation needed. | ||

As many have said ignorance and lack of education on the subject at hand! I myself had negative thoughts of gear until i set down and researched awhile, my g/f had the same negative thoughts as well and i have explained to her what i have learned and she even read and researched with me before doing a cycle. But you get a few people ABUSING and all the negative comes out. So the bottom line is IGNORANCE! Train Hard or Wear a Skirt! | ||

I try to explain that not all AS are injectible, and when u inject u do it into the muscle not into ur veins. That post Bjaarki, was lost somewhere I think Shawnboy deleted it, in a moment of clarity. Its a shame because that is a perfect situation of juicer-meathead syndrome (JMS). Yeah boxer I have heard that crap before as well, I am always unsure whether to bite my tongue or let them know whats up. Its a double edged sword, b/c if you defend or explain proper steriod usage your labeled as one of 'them' and your argument is immedietly nullified. Bro's, Its like one of the people who i used to train with found out about my A/S useage then told a friend of his in the pub. Yeah and now everyones shouting it out MIKAI is on juice TWATS i just deny it. Then i get this guy come up to me and say can i get him some gear. I say that if he is willing to train with me for a year, give up beer, junk food, chocolate, crisps, etc and train real hard he may find a guy who will help him out. His reply was fuck that i will stay skinny. Fucking weak minded dick. They dont know enough about it. so if you juice your cheating, and your lazy and have to do that cos you cant be arsed to work hard for it. WTF...!!! Fuck em all there the ones sitting there in the club looking at me with the chick's touching my body and chattin me up. Oh there are also the dicks who lose it go to court and say they where useing A/S to get a lighter sentance as it was all the A/S that made me do it. Hmmm...!
