i am ordering from an overseas source. what safety precautions do i need to take? he wants me to sign the Priority Mail envelope (i send him), so i can sign with a fake name right? do i need to get a P.O. Box or have it delivered to my home address? i have read about this on the board before but cannot remember exactly what you guys said, and i think a refresher course would benefit alot of bros out there.     | ||

Where are you having it sent to? I would get a P.O. box, saves for a lot of hassles. Get one at a mail boxes etc. Don't get one at the post office. | ||

It sounds fishy to me that your source wants you to sign upon delivery. If the source has email, I'd email him the order & your address & describe the card/envelope (use a distinctive card) that you sent the money in---that way your name/address/order wont be together with the money. Alot of other guys on the list know more about this than me though. | ||

i dont include my order and shipping information in the cash envelope. he just wants me to sign the Priority Mail envelope, the rest is done through email. im kinda paranoid about getting caught, it would really suck so i wanna be as cautious as i can. if someone would give step by step instructions i would GREATLY appreciate it. like do i use a fake name at mail boxes etc.? when i go to pick up my package at the mail boxes etc. how do i know if something is fishy and i could be caught? | ||

I'm don't remeber having to sign for Priority mail before, so I don't know why your source wants you to. And I'm pretty sure that you're going to have to show ID to get a po box, even at MBE. ------------------ | ||

this sounds like a pain in the ass. there a lot of sources out there. you should just use one that dosn't make it so frikin' complicated. most ppl just western union the $ and the source sends it to the name and addy you supply. | ||

so what exactly am i gettin the P.O. box for? i mean, if they send to my house they know who is there and if they send to the P.O. box they know who's it is. i would use a diff source but this guy has a very good reputation. i'd say no chance of scamming. also has some pretty good prices. he just has his policies, my order is too small to use Western Union w/ him. | ||

you really need to know what you're doing to get a PO box with a fake name. now if you get a box in your name and have the gear sent to it with a fake name. how is that safer than just sending it to your house with a fake name. in fact, if you open a po box and two weeks later receive gear with a fake name, i think that would be even more suspicious. | ||

one other thing, what country are you ordering from. i don't need to know the source, just the country. because if A/S are leagal there then there is no need for him to worry and then you have to ask yourself why you can't just WU the $. maybe i'm just missing something? ? ? | ||

it will be coming from Brazil. i'm thinking the same way you are, i've just heard lots of ppl say its good to have the gear sent to a P.O. box. i just can't really figure out how that has any advantage. maybe i'm missing something too. | ||

well maybe i'm not the one to be talking to. my sources have always been local. i've done an overseas thing once or twice but it was real simple. i WU the $ and then email the control # with mailing info. email a mod if you are starting to question your source. they should know what's what if he uses this board. email me if i can help you further. good luck | ||

I wouldn't sign my name on anything and i would just have it sent to my address by ups they don't require a signature if the person is not home they just leave it at the door! Train Hard or Wear a Skirt! | ||

USPS is the safest way to go. your source should know better than to send anything that won't fit in an average size mail box. and never ever send anything that needs a signature | ||

Send a fake name and just let him know by e-mail what the name is! Would still have it send UPS though Train Hard or Wear a Skirt! | ||

I still don't understand why he wants you to sign so bad. Why does it matter to him? Doesn't sound right to me. If you do sign, don't use your real name. ------------------ |
