a package was sent to the wrong addy. the send to addy does not exist. since a fictitous (sp?) return addy was used by the sender, the package is probably out there unclaimed in the post office. how can the two parties remedy this situation. the receiver has assured me that he did email the correct "send to" addy. what are your comments / suggestions ??

Happened to me before, whos' fault was it that it went to the wrong addy, did the receiver send the wrong addy or did the sender write the wrong addy?

There is where the fault lies.

Answer:
The post office will open it (to try and find an address) in 2-4 weeks depending on how much letters are in this stack (no return or fictional returns) that IS IF the fictional return actually doesn't exist, sometimes it will.

It isnt a lost cause yet, time for the sender to go to the post office and tell them about the mistake, its just money so unless you put what the $ was reguarding in the letter, which would have been stupid, your source should have told you not too, your not doing anything illegal, call the post office and track it down, it will either be at the destination (where the fictional zips at) or the senders local post office.

I assume you have confimration of delivery which only costs .35 cents so they can track it down easily. Otherwise you will have a hell of a hard time finding it, you have to be persistent even with the conf. of delivery b/c they are lazy bastards.

Im not flaming anyone but this is a lesson to the newbies:

READ ALL YOUR SOURCES DIRECTIONS AND FOLLOW THEM PERFECTLY, so if anythign comes up that he didnt address he should help you out. Otherwise its on you.

You should be able to get it though.

If you didnt follow your sources directions in most cases your fucked, b/c of incompetance.

I imagine in this circumstance the fictional address was used for moneygram or western, so clarify when asking for the address to send money to via mail.

I hope you get your order straight bro!
