Anyone use insulin before beginning your workout? I'm considering giving it a try cause I've heard it will give you a pretty good pump during your workouts. How much, 2 IUs?? If so I would drop my post workout IUs by 2IUs. Anyone have any experience doing this, is it worth it or not? I would sip on some gatorade throughout the workout to prevent any hypoglycemia. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ||

I know, I have experience using insulin, I'm using it right now post workout and was considering using a small amount preworkout. I just need some advise from users that have done it preworkout. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ||

I have done it a few times but I usually do it right after my workout. I usally do 12 units right after followed by a carbo drink with about 100 grams of carbs and a protein drink. Then some food later. I love the pump that it gives you for a couple of days ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ||

When I took it I just took it right after my workout. You better make sure you know how to properly take it or you can get seriously fucked up! You need to get enough carbs or you will go hypo, but if you get too many carbs you will get fat. I have friends who have taken insulin before workouts. They said they got a great pump. If you take it before a workout you better have a carb drink with you to take if you start to feel shaky or light headed. About halfway through a workout is the earliest I would reccomend, otherwise you are taking too many chances. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
