Well it was bound to happen after 20+ years in this sport, but it seems my Blood Pressure decided to an imitation of a Tech Stock during an IPO!!! Translation, it jumped up to 165/115 this morning. Now I did workout from 7-8:00am, then the doctor's appt. was at 9:30am so it probably helped push it up, but its now 6:30pm and its still up there. This has never happened to me before with any "supplements", and its usually like 130/80. The more I think about it the worse I feel, I know its in my head but this scares the hell out of me. During my last physical my cholesteral levels, both HDL and LDL were low. Thats good and bad, as you need one to help clean the plaque off the arterial walls. The increased BP isnt going to help anything. Any suggestions, the doc gave me Indural(Sp?) to lower it, and I've started to drink even more water. Should I start doing Cardio to help lower it, or would that be too dangerous at this time???

Are you on a cycle? If so, what? Steroids increase the volume of RBC's in the body. Thats why you get a killer pump. It also causes the heart to pump harder and faster to empty the heart of blood during contraction. This equals an increased BP. Normal is 120/80 so your is up there. PS. did you take any stimulants before your workout. This will cause a higher cardiac output as well. Hope this helps

hey bro..relax and try not to worry to much...youll be fine...it is up there though..my dads BP was alittle higher...the meds he got worked nicely, i think inderal..i cant remember if youre cycleing or not?...are you holding any water?...your doc could give you some lasix and also keep your sodium intake down...the Inderal should help bring down your BP..it should be benificial to you to do some cardio but dont over do it..plus, doing some cardio will help get your HDL up some..here are some links to check out: http://musom.marshall.edu/CHH/DrugInfo/Review/Beta-Bl.htm http://www.cardiacconsultants.com/beta.htm talk to you soon ------------------ LIVE AND LEARN BROS

Thanks guys. Hypothetically speaking of course, 250mg of Sust and 200mg of Deca every 4 days, 2 cc of Reforvit every day. I worked out on an empty stomach, had 1 cup of coffee though. I've been doing this for a long time though with no problems. Also, I'm well aware of the processes by which AS raises BP, its just that its never happened to me to any degree in the past. I'll re-check it in the morning and see if it goes down. I've also been dehydrated lately, which is odd considering the above I should be retaining water.

Inderol,is propananol,(sp),a beta blocker it is supposed to raise HGH levels,if the body can use the HGH is still open for discussion, It does make you tired though. If you are using clen or ephedrine you should take a break from it.

Well first of all I'd like to thank those of you who offered advice, I really thought more people would have something to say but I guess Clomid questions get more attention than a Bro with health concerns. I re-checked my BP this morning and it was down to 130/102. The bottom number is still high so I started doing light cardio this morning for 20 minutes at a time. I'll do walking on a treadmill this week, then move to a light jog next week. I think the fact that I've been house bound for the most part of the last 8 months hasn't helped anything. The extra movement will help alot I'm sure.

Hey YODA.I saw another bro mention the use of OTC water pills. He said they were very effective for eliminating excess water.most drug stores carry these and no prescription is needed.Just ask the pharmacist what he would recommend.

bro dont feel bad, im on a high test cycle with deca, started it with dball, and mine was 173\85 the other day. I look like a fucking lobster in the gym, but hopefully when the cycle is over it will subside.

Get an ACE inhibitor, and maybe a new doctor. ACE inhibitors have fewer side effects. Inderal is a real old beta blocker. Unless you have cardiac arrythmias, B-blockers wouldn't be indicated for you and represents a poor choice by your doctor.

Well like Buff said, Inderal will make you feel tired, look tired and feel like shit. Your training days will look like shit too. It's the sodium and/or water retention. You want it to go down : try PGF2a it WILL go down. But you have to accept the sides. I am in the same boat, so i think after this cycle, my next will be roids and again PG just for the good things of it, like lowering the BP and being able to go to the bathroom without taking pills. YOu should buy a BP meter and control it 4-5 times a day, when you are at home, relaxed, not in the doctor's office. Then you will know. ------------------ Don't look back, life is too short

Just remember to take it everyday for the next few weeks. Take it using the same equipment also. This way, you have a consistent reading. The diastolic (or bottom number) is more important. If it stays above 100 for a couple of weeks then make some serious changes in your cycle. You don't want to stroke out. Good luck.

Does anybody know if there are any contraindications with calcium or beta blockers and various gear products? -Tack
Pro Bodybuilder Posts: 537 |
Guys I do have the equipment to test BP at home, and this morning it was 130/82, so its almost back to where it should be for me without gear. The only concern for me is what made it spike like that, but I'll keep an eye on it daily and thanks for all the support!!!! If it starts to climb again I'll have to re-evaluate the cycle dosages.

One thing not mentioned was the right cuff size for your arm. Most bb with 17 1/2 in arms or larger need to use a larger cuff than the standard one. In my case they use a thigh cuff. If the wrong size is used, it can throw the readings way off. chesty ------------------ Ooooh Rahhh! |
