This guy told me that broccoli is the highest source of protein. So I laughed at him and called him jackass. Then I heard it from someone else. Then I started thinking. So, is there actually any protein in Broccli????
I dont think so. Veggies have no protein.

No... broccoli doesn't have much protein if any, but if you eat broccoli with protein, it can help you digest protein more efficiently.

Actually, broccoli does have protein. Here's some statistics on one cup of it:

Calories: 20.0
Calories from Fat: 1.8
Total Fat: 0.2 g
Percent Fat: 9.0 %
Saturated Fat: 0.0 g
Cholesterol: 0.0 mg
Sodium: 19.0 mg
Total Carbohydrate: 4.0 g
Dietary Fiber: 0.0 g
Protein: 2.0 g

Not too bad, though you'd need a TON of it to be beneficial. The problem is that most of the vegetable is water.

You might also be surprised to find that brocoli also has more potassium than bananna's.

Hey GymRatSD...You sure as hell won't see me eating 100 cups of broccoli per day to get my 200g protein.

LOL

Just messin' bro.

I'd still rather eat bannanas than broccoli. That shit stinks.

Well, Broc is over 90% water. And just under 30% of the calories comes from protein.
