I was wondering what many of us working bros do for lunch and those many between standard meal food breaks. I'm getting tired of the boring protein bars... Give me some insight, bros!

Some things I do for lunch:

Seasoned chicken breast
White rice
Steamed veggies
(I know, very boring)

Grilled hamburger with cheese (no bun, for the ketogenic days)
Veggies

Tuna with very light mayo or Miracle Whip. Sometimes I'll add cayenne or black pepper to give a different taste. Maybe a little onion.

Salad with grilled chicken, apples, oranges, parmasean cheese, and a basalmic vinegar and oil dressing.

Any other ideas?

Bowl of rice with 1 pound of marinated steak or chicken on top topped with their signature teriaki and "bravo" sauce... they call it the "suicide bowl"...yum

I was actually referring to taking food to work... being able to eat either in a break room or at the desk. I need new ideas! Eating is getting very boring!

Spikes is da shit. Good Shit.

Now Lets stear this one back to the topic at hand:

Gymrat I have the same problem as you I spend 7am to 6pm at work everyday give or take a few minutes. When I need to be eating here are my foods, I am hard up on ideas as well and dont really have any GOOD tasting things except for maybe one:

1) my favorite for taste is to buy boneless, skinlees, chicken breast at the store has like 40g of protein depending on size. They are frozen so one big bag usually lasts until friday. I bring 3 or so to work along with Wheat bread and FAT FREE (or low fat) American cheese slices. When your ready for a snack Microwave the chicken the take it out throw the cheese on (it melts) then add the bread and eat mmm lots of good stuff and taste.

2)a potato (dan quayle) and the protein shake - well this ones easy throw a spud in the nuke for 3 minutes and eat, wash down with protein shake - this tastes very bland and dry

3) Cans of tuna - usually straight up outta the can, on occasion throw some fat free mayo and onions, but usually straight up.

Man come to think about it thats it, other than the lunches and protein shakes thats what I have to have at work, I need recipes too. I really eat a lot of tuna and chicken sandwiches.

Slopain

Try going to University and eating well!

Take a couple cans of tuna or precooked bacon strips (fatty I know, but I like it), or cold cuts.

Hey Bro,

When I get tired of eating chicken, I just eat more chicken, no for real if I eat another chicken I will shit a Rooster.
Try using Salmon steaks as a replacements for chicken and other fish's.

BTW I like Rubio's way better than Wahoos

Nothing like the good old George Forman. I swear by these things. Nothing like a FAT new York strip or swordfish steak for lunch at work. I used that damn thing every day. Very easy to eat well since I don't use microwaves. Later, Green

this is an awesome meal i make for work and people ask about it when i heat it up..

buy some thin sliced lean round steak..make some lowfat stove top stuffing...hit the steak with a meat tenderizer, get it pretty thin then lightly cook on med heat...pat some fat out and measure the amount of carbs you want per serving of protein(cut piece of steak to serving size of protein...then put the stuffing in the steak and roll it up, stick a toothpick in it or tie it with cooking string and cook on low, turning frequently...then put some heinz no fat gravy on it and let simmer...cool it off and put in tupperware for the next week-i make 5 of them every sunday...

when eating at work be careful where you heat it up-people will want it!

good luck.

A 10-7 day (thats the hours I work) in the life of AJC...

I mix one Meal Replacement and 80 grams of whey protein in the blender the night before and take it to work with me..Then I eat grilled chicken breasts and rice or a baked potato usually twice while I'm at work and I drink about one third of that shake at a time so that's 2 solid meals and 3 servings of 40g of protein.

When I get home, I have a pre-workout meal of usually a cup of rice and maybe a little protein of some sort and swig some Ultimate Orange...Then comes the post workout meal....Usually real food, but sometimes a big fat MRP/protein shake.

The shake that I take to work has 120 grams of protein...Combined with three or four solid meals, it makes it really easy to get my protein every day.

-LIFT LIKE A ANIMAL

-AS SOON AS I'M DONE LIFTING (FIVE MINUTES AFTER) I DRINK A RECOVERY DRINK MADE BY WORLWIDE NUTRITION OR AMERICAN BODYBUILDING SUCH AS THEIR "MASS RECOVERY" OH AND I ADD GLUTAMINE TO IT

-EXACTLY 1 HOUR AFTER THAT I DRINK ANOTHER OF MY MRP'S THAT I MAKE

-EXACTLY ONE HOUR AFTER THAT I EAT 10 OZ. OF STEAK AND TWO CUPS OF SWEET POTATOES

Gymrat-when food gets bland and boring I love to add salsa to it.-- also what helped me when on the run(I'm a single father)<---need I say more. I make my food for the week and put it micro containers-and nuke when hungry-saves time and it's easy to make sure you get equal amounts every serving- on Sundays I cook my meals for the week coming.Meal replacements save time also.Good luck Bro!-PEACE-

Hey bro, make some chili with extra ground beef or turkey. And add a shitload of kidney beans. It taste good, easy to carry to work, and is full of protein. Make a big ass pot of it on your day off and carry to work in tupperware.
