I was wondering how many people consume beef jerky when dieting or on a daily basis. I usually buy 3 pack 28g of Jack Links beef jerky after my night workout (if I workout later than 9:00pm) and eat them with mt creatine. I was wondering if anyone does this and if not why? it's low fat and packs protein | ||

Haze, I travel every month for about 2 months and beefjerky saves my butt when trying to consume enough protein. Usually 40 grams or more per bag, and on sale it's about $3 a bag. Sams has the 8 oz bag for just over $4. I've even been known to take a bagel and make a poor mans steak sandwich with it when Im on the run & want some carbs with it. Beef jerky is great for protein. 0 carbs, and tons of protein. I use it when a shake isn't handy...like if I'm in class or something. I actually got "jaw pump" while I was on my last cycle. | ||

Damnit!!!! I thought I was the only one who knew the beef jerky secret. ( and turkey jerky for that matter) I too eat it late at night when I am watching a movie or to damn lazy to mix a shake (hey, it can happen). My Favorite is Teriyaki Flavor damn good shit. I buy it all the time. Expensive though. Anybody have a good place to buy cheap bulk Jerky. ------------------ | ||

If you like spicy food, try the peppered, it kicks ass, just watch out for the sodium if your on a cycle, three bags at a time, ouch | ||

They are only 28 gram bag, so after my workout I have 84 grams of beef jerky with my glass of creatine (great mix). But the only one I get like I said it the jack links, usually Teriyaki, the third ingredient is sugar, it's sweet but after a workout it doesn't really matter because that sugar will only replenish my glucose defficient body. |
