Given that I can only perform chinups on the assisted mode....which do think is the best method of putting on mass and girth to my back. Assisted chinups, pulldowns to the front, or behind the neck pulldowns? Thanks ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Out of those three go with behind the neck pull downs. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

no no no dave, the chins, and definately the dead lifts. Do te chins first, use a shoulder width grip, palms facing you, really squeeze at the top, they'll make you feel like a house, but don't skip on the deads, they are better. But I do the chins too. ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Deadlifts, bentover rows and chins. It sound like you've not built up the strenght to hit the chins properly, in which case the lat pull downs are fine. Try the lat pull down with a narror grip for a real good stretch on your lats. If you wish, you can pre exhust your lats with pull over's. Then your lats will go before you biceps on the pull downs.. All the best. Bouncer ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

For mass building I find rows, deadlifts and chins the best. Often I'll vary though or pre exhaust with isolated movements. At least you've got the balls to try chins, a lot of people try them and just give up. Rather than assisted chins (I presume you mean machine assisted) this is how I got stronger on them: Get a partner to assist you by the ankles or waist on the way up but do the negative part all by your self as slow as you can. You'll soon be doing sets of 10-15 on your own and then you'll need a dip/chin belt to attatch more weight. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

The bros have said it all; rows, chins, and deads. Stay away from the behind the neck pull downs. Later, ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Bent over rows yes, Bouncer is on the money with this one. He just described my whole routine, It can make you big as a house, and I actually like deadlifts, a lot. Back day is my specialty, an I love it. good luck ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
