I start at Cornerback for a Division 1AA program, In the off season I wanted to put on size and I did 300 Tai Dballs and I gained 35 pounds, I went from 185 to 220 but after all our 3 a days IM down to 210, I didn't lose much speed, my time in the 40 decreased from 4.49 to 4.51. In the offseason I lifted every day and ran like crazy which is why I didn't lose much speed. But now IM noticing IM losing my quickness, my straight away speed is still decent but IM slow when I cut. I need help what can I do? I gave up TD'S this week when we were in man coverage. I need to trim down quick and fast and I don't have time on my side, can someone offer me advice? Please!! Thanks

Stick with winny in the future bro.Ben Johnson's stats don't lie.And it wont bloat you up like that.

First, I'd check the NCAA board on this site, second, I'd take the advice about the winny, or maybe even some eq next time--dbol is more for powerlifting/bodybuilding, etc., and a lot of your gains might have been water...and you may be crashing, did you start your clomid on time?? ------------------

you are too big to be a cornerback....i would do high protein diet for a week or so...dbol was the drug for what you want...a guy that i played with in college was a ss, he did the same thing...they moved him to defensive end...maybe ss is better for you now...if you can almost cover a receiver, you can easily cover a TE or RB...i was a ss in college, div 1, 5'10 197lbs. 4.61 on a laser time on a track... do not lose your confidence...practice covering your friends WR and stuff..

How much time do you have? you could do a quick cutting cycle with winny.

Thanks for all the guys who replied, As for time I don't have much. We opened last week and I got burnt for 2 Td's and gave up several passes, all of last season I never gave up a td in man coverage so time is not on my side. I already started a all protein diet and have been sprinting as much as I can. Should I start Winny? If yes should I do it alone? If Not what should I mix it with? Sorry to be a pain but im justed a little out of it. Thanks all for your help.

Dude, I agree. The extra weight has slowed down your cuts...Big deal. You're bigger and stronger now. Out muscle the receiver inside five yards or play off and kill him every time the ball comes your way. Intimidate him. I say play smarter and learn how to use your new size and strength. If you have lost too much quickness, switch to safety. zeke_b

You said your 40 time only decreased 2 hundreths..Thats not enough to mean anything..If you were getting beat deep then it isn't your quickness thats getting you beat,,its your straight away speed..You probably gained to much weight for your body to keep up,,just like when your a kid and you go through that clumsy stage..I played cornerback for a division 1 school for three years so I know what you are going through..Put in some extras time on the track and try to lose any extras water you are carrying. If you can get some winny, do so right away..Watch for the drug test though..Do some plyometrics and short cut sprints when you can..The main thing is don't get down on yourself...Good luck..Bam Bam |
