I HAVE " PERSONAL TRAINERS" AND " MANAGERS" FOLLOWING ME AROUND TELLING ME I CAN'T DO THIS I CAN'T DO THAT. I WAS WORKING OUT WITH SOME FRIENDS AND SOME LAME 110 POUND " ASSISTANT MANAGER" TOLD ME NO PERSONAL TRAINING AND I SAID I WAS WORKING OUT I WAS NOT PERSONAL TRAINING THAN SAID MY SHOES WHERE NOT SAFE AND I HAD TO LEAVE. TONIGHT I WAS WALKING BACKWARDS ON THE TREADMILL TO USE MUSCLE RESISTANCE ANBD WAS TOLD TO STOP AS IT WAS DANGEROUS. BOTTOM LINE IS BALLYS SUCKS AND DOES NOT WANT BODYBUILDERS IN THERE GYM BECAUSE OF " SMALL PENIS SYNDROM". OK NOW I FEEL BETTER. IF THEY KEEP HARRASING ME I WILL SOME HOW GET OUT OF MY CONTRACT. JOINED BECAUSE I TRAVEL BUT ITS NOT WORTH IT.

I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN. BALLYS IS NOT A GYM. YOU CAN'T STOP WHEN YOU WANT TO BECAUSE OF THEIR BINDING CONTRACTS, AND IT IS TOO SOFT CORE. THEY CARE MORE ABOUT MAKING $$$ THAN HELPING PEOPLE ACHEIVE THEIR FITNESS GOALS. SO I WILL BUMP FOR YOU! | ||

just be like I dont mean to be rude but you dont know shit, you weigh 110, so get the fuck out of my face. I had one of those bitch personal trainers, a lady tell a guy wanting to join, I was doing back and she came by and said, now you dont want to do this like this, I got up and told him dont fool himself, she doesnt know what she is talking about, she then tried to say something and I said I dont need you critiqueing my workout, and plus you dont even know what the fuck I am doing. I guess thats why I have a V back and weigh 230 with about 10BF, they are a fuckin joke. | ||

Dude these big name gyms like ballays are nothin but a hangout for washed up weekend worriors who cant find a better place to meet people. The most hardcore gym I have trained at is Powerhouse Gym in Eastgate Cincinnati. Now that was a fuckin gym fellas! I dont have to worry about your problem anymore, since im in the military I get free access to thier facilities. | ||

I have friends who work at ballys and I've been a member for 2 years! I fucking hate it! The trainers are full of shit because ALL of their check comes from selling sessions and to do this- they MUST convince people that they NEED them in their lives, in their faces- up their asses! in order to accomplish their goals! Its a business, guys- what do you expect! One more year end I'm moving to where ever the hell E2 lives and joining his gym- at least I know I can train in peace with my kind. ------------------ | ||

Fella's, don't give balley's credit for being a gym, call it a fitness center. cause that's what it is. And I don't agree with the whole 'our kind' thing. I like to think we're all perfectly normal people, with great friends and family, who also happen to be twice the size and five times as strong as everyone outside the gym. No flame or nothing, that was just the first time I'd ever heard that. ------------------ | ||

Yes we are all people with families and the likes but they get paid to have lots of members and train people. most newbies or even long termers admire what they seek and if I have it and the trainer does not guess what they will ask the trainer who I am which set ups ego problems with there trainers. when i lift they don't bother me until i do something different than it becomes a game for them to say i am doing something unsafe and need to stop. They watch everything i do to pick times to mess with me. again its "penis envoy". i am on the phone (hold) with them now and will try to get out of the contract and if not they can expect an harrasemnt charge and letter from my attorney. beats kicking someones ass and getting thrown in jail | ||

man oh man, please don,t judge all ballys in that group, I love mine!!!!! As long as you dont get to radical your safe in plano tex, this one kicks ass!!!!! I DONT WORK THERE but i do lift there everyday and on accout of me they probably lost a few customers but they needed to go, you all know which ones ex.... the ones that leave there sweat all over the machines and weights w/o wiping them down, the ones that try to do karete kicks in the fuckin mirror and the ones that get right in front of you while your doing a set. | ||

I used to work for Bally's and I can assure you that it is not considered a gym from the inside. They consider it a community center. They are there to cater to the people that they know will not stick with a fitness program (ex..the new year resolution people) hence their deceptive ads that get people in at a low rate... BUT... if you read the fine print, the low rates only allow you restricted access to the gym during certain times and days. This makes for confusion and clutter wich will discourage people away shortly after they have joined. In return, they can then get more people to sign up.$$$ Their ads show the chicks with silver half shirts and tight shorts, but yet Bally's rules and regulations state, members are not allowed to wear any clothing that exposes or shows midrif... Meaning the abs or stomach. So what's up with that. That could actually be considered false advertising! They will let only a few things go if they like you. There are many rules that members aren't aware of until they fully read and understand the fine print of their contract. Point is... Bally's does suck, and if you haven't joined already... DON'T!!!! Find a real "GYM" not a "Center"

Guys, I love the Bally's I work out at. They have tons of free weights, hammer strength machines, just about every type of equipment you can think of. The trainers do not weigh 110 lbs. They are all at least 200 lbs. or more although I don't think you have to be exceptionally big to be a good trainer. There are also many beautiful women and that's certainly a plus for me. I'm sorry you've had bad experiences but Bally's is just fine for me. | ||

bros, i used to be a manager at bally's, and it does suck... the whole weekend warrior thing in so true, and it seems more and more like a meat market every time i go in there (i, too, was suckered into a membership there before i worked for them)... anyway, my point is that if you really wanna get out of your contract, use the relocation clause in your contract. have a few pieces of mail sent to someone you know that's at least 25 miles from a bally's and send that mail to bally's office in towson, MD... they'll cancel it for you... i've seen it done, and i may be doing it soon myself... Bally's is not a gym. I see weird ass people doing weird shit in there. For example, this guy that was 48 years old, 140#, was doing karate chops in front of the mirror! I saw another guy shaving his arm pits and cleaning the razor by smacking the razor on the bathroom mirror! I saw this other guy stacking all the 45 plates in the gym to a leg press, we all sat and waited to see what would happen and he got on the leg press and yelled as loud as humanly possible, GROW!!!!! , he was at least 130#, 30% bf, and he managed to get the safe guards off, and he pushed the weight about a quarter of an inch!!!!! WOW. I cant wait for my contract to be over! |
