I am currently 255lbs 5ft 11 1/2in with a 32inch waist. About 10-12% fat.
Age 29

Anybody got any Idea of the # of cal I need to intake. I would like to drop about 10 during this month off. I have plenty of disipline. Offer me some suggestions. I can force myself to eat any food if you have a good diet let me know.

T-3 and T-4 available, but I do want to hold the muscle loss to a minimum.

You need to determine your Resting Metabolic Rate. To do this multiply your BF% by you weight, then subtract this from your weight to get your Lean Body Wt. Then multiply your LBW by 11. This will give you the amount of calories that your body burns per day doing nothing.

Aw fuck it. 255x.12=30.6 255-30.6=224.4(LBW) 224.4x11=2468.4
You should be burning 2,468 cal per day resting.

Thanks B Funk!

Anybody got a rec on how to split this up? I was thinking something like.

70% protein
20% carb
10% fat

This is very simple, but remember I am wanting to lose about 10 pounds in a month with no working out and little to no muscle loss.

Hehe, checkmate hate to burst your bubble bud, but one months inactivity coupled with a diet deprived of carbohydrates, loaded on protein to the extent you have enumerated is going to leave you gooey soft. Your gonna turn into the Stay Puffed Marshmellow Man.
Im not going to construct a diet for you dude. $200 dollars is the approximate going rate for a PT to collect the needed amount of information to approximate a goal oriented diet. However, The above mentioned advice is free for you to ponder upon.
Good Luck

I was gonna say 2550 calories, I always just figure resting met. rate at 10% of whatever you weigh...probably more accurate when you take bodyfat into account though. If you lose more than 3lbs per week, up the calories by 200.

I agree twisted! Exercise is the #1 thing needed to keep muscle while losing fat. If you don't use it during a calorie restricted diet, your body will see the extra muscle as usless tissue and will use it for the extra calories needed to function. You must stimulate the muscle for the body to see its needed.

Not necessarilly the lack of exercise here checkmate, you could maintain a respectable level of hardness, but that protein intake is gonna have to come down.

That's the beautiful thing about muscle memory..Enjoy the break. Let your body heal...You'll grow like a mofo when you come back.

Again thanks for the advise. Trial and error has always been my way, because I never new about these BB boards and I do not believe most of the mags.

I ain't paying some skinny phuk $200.00 to tell my how to diet either. Thanks for the advise. I will jump it to something close to

55% protein
35% carb
10% fat. All my fat will come from food and not liquid/tabs.

You didn't say why you weren't going to train for a month. If it is to lose 10 pounds, then thats stupid. You can still at least do cardio and light weight high intensity sets. That way you remain hard. If you do that I would maintain a good caloric intake but cut the calories from fats. Moderate protien and complex carbs, low simple carbs. LATER!

If you get your diet sorted and take and ECA such as Xenedrine you shouldnt loose too much or any muscle as Xenadrine is an anti-catabolic.

Good luck bro.

Beef77,

Broke my foot and ripped ligs. The op friday afternoon and I will be on crutches for 2 weeks. No pressure at all per doc and then rehab after that. I just desided it is time to take a little off and rest during this time. I do not want to be on crutches in the gym and some dumb butr run into me or something.
