I was wondering if anyone knows if a signature is needed for packages sent domestic express mail. Also, is it a fairly safe way of sending or recieving packages?

The signature can be waived. There is a box above the recievers address. Just sign in the box and the postman will leave it a door or in mailbox.

I have found it to be pretty safe way of sending money domestic, but not forein...the forein post offices have stolen out of my letters...

BTW- I think that USPS priority mail is the best way to send and recieve gear.

1)delivery in 2-3 days
2)no signature required
3)cheap depending upon weight
4)delviery confirmaion-allows you to track package.
5)most used method of sending boxed packages in the US, therefore overlooked.

Do you guys agree?

For recieving domestic packages, is it a good idea to use a fake name for express mail? I'm worried that the mail man will ask for Identification for the package.
