I'm still seven weeks off but just wanted to get some opinions on the best way to approach it.The general line of thought seems to be to de-carb on the sun,mon,tues,wed.and after the wednesday workout to start carbing up until the show on saturday, but no workouts just posing.Water intake is increased while de-carbing and reduced while carbing up on thurs and friday with no water on sat. As far as contest day goes i 've heard of the following things taken an hour before the show-creatine,niacin,red wine,potassium and chocolate.Also through friday and saturday take vitamin c,dandelion root,and evening primrose oil,as natural dieretic's. 1. don't stress out <causes cortisol release> 2. don't do anything drastic besides water intake changes 3. carb-up is very very individual...practice it 2 weeks before the show, so that you don't carb load blindly...you'll have something to go by 4. practice the HELL out of your posing....i have been competing for 7 years and i still practice posing alot....i usually stop cardio 2 weeks out then just pose practice for my cardio from that point on 5. good luck bro....tell us how it goes ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
