Hey bros..been lurking around in the shadows for long time learning a ton from you. Now I have a problem...I broke my hand 4 weeks ago and wonder if anybody has taken anything to help speed up the healing process. Any experience or similar situations?     | ||

The dr stongly adviced not to take very much calcium, said that it will give you kidney stones because your body puts extra calcium in your blood after a broken bone. | ||

Depending on the type of fracture you have, there are a few options. The newer of options is the use of a small ultrasound unit that is placed in the hole that is cut into your cast. The idea is the ultrasound waves will stimulate the bone cells to heal faster is used constantly. I think it is meant to mimic weight bearing etc. I don't know the brand name of the unit. I have only seen it used a few times in our rehab unit. | ||

I broke my scapula when I was 17 and the Dr. told me to take calcium pills..I would do whatever the doc says..good luck..Bam Bam | ||

Hey Pup'nIrn I think the bone is healed I am maily concerned about the tendons and muscles, I have the cast off and have a splint that is held on with an ACE bandage. do you think the ultrasound would work for the soft tissues? | ||

to make it heal faster i know dbol increases calcium consuption (sp) to the bones. try it at low levels. say 3 a day for 3 weeks should be enough. thats how my cousin did it and he healed very fast. swol | ||

Take the calcium, but dont abuse it. Give your hand time to heal. Look on the bright side you can still SQUAT!! |
