Take it easy folks...this is just a comment I heard today at my gym. A 160 pound pole smoking wuss boy asked me If I was all-natural. Because I am a Powerlifter and in no way cut up like some of the bros on this board I said to him "No, just blessed I guess"
Blessed enough to have a good job so I can afford Gear
ANYWAY...he goes on to tell me that he works out 5 days a week and those who take "ROIDS" just "Pop a Pill" and Viola your hugh. I almost lost it, but decieded to just laugh it off and walk away....So I'm picking up 2-100 pound dumbells to do traps with and he comes by shaking his head in discust...SO I drop the weights, making a big noise and start toward WUSS BOY. I said get the fuck away from me you stupid bitch...I think the vain in my forehead started to pump...which scared him a bit. He made his way to the owners office to hide like a little bitch, and I continued my workout.

REASON FOR THIS POST was don't you guys hate the fact that people think this is easy?????That there is NO disipline at all involved. It takes Brains, Guts, Sweat, and tears if your serious about this sport. There is NO such thing as a magic pill....sure it helps but without a good workout schedule, diet, and knowhow its gonna turn to FAT, or into serious health risks. This post is for all the Brothers and Sisters who take this seriouslly, and who work hard for it each and every day.

I got a few friends with that attitude and it really pisses me off. They all have a chip on their shoulder like they're better than me cause they're natural. To each their own, I don't hassle them for being so ignorant, I expect them not to hassle me for being educated on a AS. The funny thing is that they'll drink a case of beer a night, but think I'm stupid for juicing. Ignorance is bliss.....

not when your me!! ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

Seriously though If I ever do get on gear and keep the same work ethic I have now I'll be a fucking bad-fucking-ass!!!!

And really guys, when you take a good cycle for say 8-10 weeks and it puts on a good 20lbs and you keep 75% of it with the use of proper knowledge in diet, training, and yes drugs. How hard is that really?

*keep in mind I train hard to and am very commited and strict in diet. (don't use supp except protein).
*also keep in mind that I'm not "A 160 pound pole smoking wuss boy" LOL that kid is a fag!! don't waste your time with ignorant people like that, just flick them on the forhead with your finger and watch them fly across the room!!

PEACE!

Hey Valdez.....that's super cool that you are natural but this comment you made:

"And really guys, when you take a good cycle for say 8-10 weeks and it puts on a good 20lbs and you keep 75% of it with the use of proper knowledge in diet, training, and yes drugs. How hard is that really?"

HOW HARD IS THAT REALLY? Damm hard brother...not trying to flame you but shit...I work my nutt sack off...even with the gear.
I mean come on I take a plate full of pills, twice a day...it's like a meal in itself...Plus my log book which has every calorie I put in my body....NOW thats a bitch to keep up...When your eating 6000 calories a day it seems like that book is never out of my hands. I work an 8-10 hour day just like most people and I still find time to do a split routine....1 during lunch at work and after dinner at home. Mind you I am married with a 2 year old and 1 on the way....................SO.......jugle all that and tell me "How hard is That?"

"If you want to look like a bear...you must train, and eat like one regardless if you dabble in AS or not."

I'm backing up Chef on this one ...

Valdez I would just like to say one thing:

Not gaining muscle while you are on steroids is the worst thing ever!

And this does happen! Steroids only enhance the physiological adaptations to training. In other words steroids will increase glycogen resynthesis after your reserves have been depleted from hard training, they will also increase protein synthesis that is used to repair the muscle micro-trauma caused by hard training.

So if you are not training hard you are not causing an adaptative need and you will not cause a lot of muscle growth. I've seen a lot of peoples get mediocre results from juicin' ... some of them gained much less than myself while I'm off!

If anything steroids make me work harder! Because when you are using performance enhancing drugs you have NO EXCUSES to fail!

Personaly, when I'm on a cycle and I have a bad workout (or no workout at all) I always say to myself "Well, I just wasted 30$ today!" and I make it sure that it doesn't happen again!

I would agree that gaining strenght and/or size is hard whether you're using or not. However, you have more leeway for mistakes when you're using then if you're natural. But the motivating factor for the stickmen guys is jealousy most of the time.

This definitly is better than No pain, no gain, because i had all the pain and no gain prior to roids. Sure i gained natural, but a lot of it was F A T.

I don't want to hear any more opinions on how "easy" it is to grow on steroids by people who HAVE NEVER EVEN USED THEM!!!!!! The question is, how serious are you about winning in your sport???? To me gear is as important as a mouthpeice.
I think Mr. Natural Wuss-boy in the original post sounds pretty annoying, but the need to walk towards him with veins-a-pulsing in an intimidating manner is just plain silly. I suppose I would have been next on the shit list when you heard my laughter.....I'd probably drop MY bumbells (puny 60's for shrugs) from laughing so hard. The gym is a place to train, not a place to stroke your toughguy ego by scaring "Wuss-boys". You wonder why these guys don't want to do gear???? Who wants to act like some asshole bully looking for lunch money??? It's fucking ridiculous......sorry. Just ignore these guys and when in 2 years he wants you to set him with gear, tell him YOU are natural. I've just had it up to here with the "tough gym-junkie routine. It's tired and a sure sign of insecurity. Maybe I should quit gear, drop down to light-weight class and wear a "proud to be natural" tank top just to encourage these badasses.........I could use the training.
Pathetic......

Thank you guys for being cool!

I was afraid that I might get a little flamed for my response... I rarely post on this board cause it's not an area I have any REAL experience in.

I am neither for or against AS use. If I could go to the corner drug store and get some deca/ dbal/ sust/ clomid/ etc. YOU BET I WOULD. I think it's comical that people actually believe that supp. can make you big and I think it's even more comical that people think you can take roids and sit on your ass eating taco bell and get huge. We have the media to blame for that. and "ROID RAGE" I personally think that's bullshit, another media "buzzword."

I probably will sauce later in life (only 19 1/2) I love Bodybuilding as a Hobby it's the greatest! but I do fear that the judging in high level can be biased, impartial, and $$driven just like everything else.

I am going to my first contest in 1 month, so we will see what I am made of! and also I will determine if this is something I want to pursue with more passion.

I forget who it was who had this as thier sig. but I will say it again.
"You only go around the world once, so you might as well go around with big arms!"

Good Thread Chef!

No slam to the natural guys but if you know your drugs, diet, training and limitations then training clean is for suckers.Like everyone says even with AS you gotta bust balls in the gym. Wannabes just see the muscle they dont see the effort and dedication.Remember its no what you drive its the size of the arm hanging out of the window.

I'm now in my third cycle and these are my observations:

First, my ability to push myself has dramatically increased. Honestly, even with "help" I don't have the same fire about training that I had when I first started. Don't get me wrong, I still love it, but after years of doing the same thing over and over, your work ethic decreases a little. But I am renewed in my ability to dig deep inside for that last rep and not stop until I force it to the rack.

My joints, tendons, and everything in-between feels better. The ability to train relatively pain-free does wonders on your confidence and allows you to focus and concentrate. When you are feeling twinges in your joints and extremely heavy weights just plain hurts, your safety mechanism will not allow you to give 100% every single time. Right now, I have no pain. My confidence in knowing that the weight will, MUST, go up without blowing a joint has allowed me to break personal bests within days of starting.

I am a powerlifter. In doing primarily compound movements, there is a fine line between overtraining and "just right". I am now able to conduct every workout without overtraining and thus maximize my gains in minimal time. I don't live in a bubble where I always feel great, eat perfectly 24/7, sleep as much as I want or need, and have no stress. To conduct a powerlifting program at a high experience level, everything needs to be perfect. My cycle has allowed my body to absorb the environmental stresses and still make outstanding gains.

For me, there is no doubt that AS makes everything "easy". Obviously this is a relative term. Easy for me is not necessarily going to be easy for "wuss-boy". It's easy for me because I know exactly how to maximize my training after years and years of experimentation. If I used back in the early years, I would have benefitted very little. When I hear guys who are on week 4 of their sustanon cycle and have experienced no gains thus far, INEXPERIENCE and lack of knowledge of both training and their bodies comes to mind immediately.

Man look at the old days those guys are smaller then me and im 18, yet they won mr. olyimpia...etc. and yes i cant stand mofos that lecture me on how im fuckin up my life, while their popping 6 xtc's when they go clubbing. i just answer back with... "I dont call it steroid abuse, i call it Hormone Theropy." that usually gets a laugh outa them and they shut up.

You guys are all correct...BUT it is true that steroids make things not nescessarily easier, but MUCH more effective and MUCH faster. I am a natural for now, but I'm already loosely planning my 1st cycle, so don't think I have some chip on my shoulder.

However, it DOES get on my nerves when I see a couple of guys in my gym who are obviously on, are bigger than me, but don't train hard on their upper bodies and don't train legs at all. This to me is the ultimate form of laziness.

Granted we work our ass of for our gains, and we all train like madmen and go through pain that most people will never understand. Now you all must admit as well that if someone has made the decision to train naturally they have it much much harder than we do. They don't have the added benefit of all of our drugs, and year after year the natural boys keep at it, with their slow hard come by gains. You all must admit that pound for pound they end up working longer and harder for their gains. We are in essence taking a shortcut, now as i said earlier we also work out asses off. But can you imagine gaining 8-10 lbs a YEAR??? How dissapointing and discouraging that must be. Then you have the added pressure to take steroids, the pressures and the temptation to take them is incredible for anyone involved in our sport. Once one has made the decision to stay away from them, sticking to that and running the course is a trial in itself. I have the utmost respect for people who train naturally. I do think they have it harder than we do.

Man I hear that shit all the time. I play hockey and baseball and my teammates, of which I am the only one who lifts, always come up to me and say shit like "Dude if I were you I would just take steroids and not even have to work out as hard as you do." That fucking pisses me off so much, I want to kill them. Have to vent it's the D-bol and test.

Small guys in the gym don't understand dedication, that's why they are small. My diet is ultra strict, and my training is dialed in (never mind 8-10 hours sleep) when I am on the juice. When I am not, I might might miss a workout a month, or pick up a big extra meal here and there. But I still make every workout count. It's a lot easier to critisize and be a buck sixty, than to destroy yourself in the gym and revamp your lifestyle.

I agree. I do believe SOME small guys do have intensity and dedication.. They just need more time to turn their efforts into results..

If juice built muscle without hard work and dedication, everybody would simply shell out the jack and be a monster. (Well, maybe not everybody) I hate freaking hypocrites.

I wish that guy could see this post...he's an asshole for opening his mouth in the first place, regardless of how hard he trains.

What irritates me are people who imply that doing juice somehow means you don't train as hard. You either train your ass off or you don't. You either juice or you don't. The two are marginally related at best. Everyone falls into one of the four categories.

The other day this guy I work with says out of the clear blue that if he had time he could get stronger than me in less than a year because he would work harder than I do and he wouldn't even have to cheat and take supplements. (Juice wasn't part of the conversation). I openly laughed at him and said if you're even talkin about having time you'll never be stronger than me. BTW the most this guy has ever bench pressed is 190 lb. Other than curls, bench pressing is the ONLY exercise he has ever done in his life. He's never seen me at the gym. Freakin' little shit.

yeah, Zeke, I'm one up on ya. One of my friends who's naturally big, but nothing like me, said that he could get as big as HHH in one year if he trained everyday. All the while continuing to smoke his cigs and drink his nightly twelver. BULLSHIT! Damn I wish he'd try to lift with me sometime, I'm not saying I'm Dorian Yates, but I have one hell of a back day that only one training partner(out of five)continued to do with me consistantly.
