Ok, I just thought I'd get back with everyone about how the Pantothenic Acid was working out for me, and I'd have to say I'm very impressed! I has been about 1 1/2-2 weeks since I started and I've kept it at about 5 grms a day. I have had very stubborn acne lately and have tried antibiotics, creams, washes, ect with not much luck. The B5 has brought the breaking out to a minimum, and my skin feels much smoother. It is taking alittle longer for some of the redness to died down, but my skin is also smoothing out some. How is it going for the rest of you who have been trying it?

I've been taking it for five days. When did you first start to notice a diference? I'm patient but curious. I figured about two weeks I should see something. T Bone

T-bone is yours genetic or steriod-induced? If it is genetic then you should begin to notice a difference fairly soon. Steriod-induced acne I would suspect it may take a little bit longer. How much are you taking a day?

I have always had a little acne. Since juice, I started getting systic acne pretty bad on my torso only. Does it even work on systic? I'm taking 5 grams/day. Thanks,

Cystic acne I dont know exactly but I'm sure will notice SOMETHING at least. Also with cystic acne I'm sure it is going to take a little longer for you to notice a difference. 5grms/day is good. Keep us posted.

I can see my twin brother has been posting above...hahaha. I think I'm gonna have to try it out, the acne I've been getting lately is terrible. It's gotten much worse since I've come off of AS too. I assume you can buy this OTC at any pharmacy???

I feel ya bro! You can get at the heelth food store or even the grocery store. Just normal B5. If the vitamin at the store are in alphabetical order it wont be with the other "B's" It will be under Pantothenic acid It will also say B5. T Bone By the way T-BONE. When I registered I didn't realize your handle. Sorry about that.

Don't worry about the handle man, I think it's F'n funny. As long as you never said anything that got ME in trouble, I could give a shit. Thanks for the advice on the B5. Later.....

Thing I noticed about B5 when I took it for acne(induced by steroids), is that it only took a week and a half to clear up my skin. I was using 4.6g/day of time-released B5, and it worked like a charm. In contrast to this, accutane(iso-retinoin and retinoin) takes 4-6 months to start working and has some unpleasant side effects. However, other B5 users here in England have noticed that B5 only works on steroid induced acne and mild acne, not on genetic-induced acne. For the latter the only solution is accutane. Hope that helps, godspeed.

haha, didnt know there were two Tbones. I only know of B5 in pill, just like any kind of vitamin. Oh, yeah I wanted to post this but forgot. My mom has talked to a homeopathic doctor about the use of pantothenic acid for the treatment of acne, however he was somewhat new to the idea. Well anyways he can create customs topical preparations and can create a topical cream of Pantothenic acid to try also. The pills work just fine so far, but the cream would be great to try also for the affected areas. Maybe I'll try it after I do a cycle.
