You are missing the point to BodyOpus. It is a ketogenic diet. You will not achieve ketosis eating 225g of carbs a day. Also, your fat is way too low for almost any type of diet. | ||

Your ratios and calories are not even close to what they would need to be to truely be doing a ketogenic diet. Do yourself a favor and buy one of these books: "The Ketogenic Diet" by Lyle Macdonald, "The Metabolic Diet" by Mario Dipasquale, or the old standard "Bodyopus" by the late Dan Duchane. To correctly follow the diets there are some fomulas that need to be followed like 70% fat and 30% protein, I didn't mention carbs because even if you shoot for 0% you will still end up eating 15-20g a day. If you want to do it right buy the book and follow one of them to a "T", plus give it 6-8 weeks to really try it. If you want the lazy way and wing it: Just eat fat and protein all week and eat carbs all weekend but without the fine tuning details you'll never get 100% out of the diet. By the way, anyone seen pictures of Lyle Macdonald? After reading his book and diary logs I figured he was skinny and went to a solid 200lbs, but his after pics looked like crap! I couldn't tell from his physique if he even knew where a gym was located. Not a very good promotion for his diet success stories. Anyway, good luck bro.
