hey bros, I am confused over the entire I.U. measurement dosages. I.U. is not a standard measurement like the universal ML. and C.C. measurements are. I have gotten three different answers from three different pharmacists.

I am using Serostim 6mg 4i.u's each dosage (which for a bonus question I see the "recommended" doseage is 4i.u.s but it doesn't say if this is every day or every-other-day. Which is best?) I can draw out 1.25 CC's of water out of the sterile water vial. Mix it in, and I have been using a 3/10cc guage insulin pin to inject SQ. the Insulin pin is marked as 30 unit measures. However, the vial is to hold 18.iu's once the product is constituted. That is a lot of water if going by the 3/10 measurements guage. I can fill up the 3/10 syrings (drawing all the way back to the 30 mark) five times. That is 150 measured units against the 3/10 scale. How much is 4 i.us. I was told by one pharmacist that the vial contains 6mg (18i.u.) per ML. since there is 1.25 ml (cc) of sterile water, I am ending up with 27 i.u.s all together (he thinks the dissolution of the HGH will contribute to .25c.c. more of volume.

I am scared I am drowning my product in too much water. Is there a standard or conversion formula for this?

Thanks.

There are exactly 2.7 I.U. in one mg.

IU's and CC measure different things

"international unit (IU)
a unit used to measure the mass of certain vitamins and drugs based on their expected effects. For each substance to which this unit applies, there is an international agreement specifying the biological effect expected with a dose of 1 IU. Other quantities of the substance are then expressed as multiples of this standard. Examples: 1 IU represents 45.5 micrograms of a standard preparation of insulin or 0.6 microgram of a standard preparation of penicillin. Consumers most often see IU's on the labels of vitamin packages: the equivalent of 1 IU is 0.3 microgram (0.0003 mg) for vitamin A, 50 micrograms (0.05 mg) for vitamin C, 25 nanograms (0.000 025 mg) for vitamin D, and 2/3 milligram for vitamin E."

CC is the measure of volume.
