Just curious what you guys think is the best magazine for hardcore bodybuilding and weight lifting? I used to like the old muscle media 2000 format, but now its more like psyc.101!

I would say Flex is the best one, but even that magazine is starting to get kind of lame. How many times can they give you a workout for Bulging Biceps, Dynamite Delts, and Tremendous Triceps?? MuscleMag is just one big advertisement, and most of the other ones have alot of fitnees stuff in them. Flex stays with the bodybuilding theme more then the others, so I would say Flex is the one to get.

I like MuscleMag because it keeps me justified in spending hundreds a month on those fantastic muscletech products. Anyone see that article/advertisement on a clomid alternative. I think that's seriously dangerous info for people to be reading. If you've taken the step to use gear and need clomid, you should get it, not use some product that hasn't been proven, that also happens to be more expensive. -moondog

Hmm, Muscle & Fiction or "FUCK" i mean "Flex". Yep, the all suck. I mean the full lay out of Lehna Johanson doesnt hurt, but as far as honest factual information, bill phillps, joe wieder. FUCK THEM AND THEIR STINKIN PERIODICALS. We dont need no stinkin magazines Actually, in retrospect "pump" occassionally throws out some good information on their tiny anabolic section. ------------------

FLEX is the best! ...Yes I know they're half full of shit about steroids, but I have learned a lot of what I know (training and nutrition) by reading Flex for years. The photography in Flex are also very high quality. But... There are some other mags that I like, but are just too hard to find like Ironman and Pump...They are more down to earth and offer more variety in terms of training approaches. ------------------

If you want to see high quality photo's of the pros, "Flex" is by far the best. If you're juicing, get your training advice from "Flex". Remember, it's the voice of the Champions' ghost writers...or was that "The Voice of Joe Weider"? Same with nutrition, and supplementation. I find it ironic that the mag which pretends roids don't exist write all of their articles from a juicer's perspective. If you're natural, I would go with IronMan for training...skip anything about supplements in this mag. It's a disguised add. If you want to know the right way to poke your girlfriend, read "MuscleMag". If you want to spank the monkey, grab an "Oxygen". I swear that mag is either homo-erotic (for women), or targeting men who buy magazines for their wives. Sweaty babes on every page. If you want up front discussion of steroids "Pump" is the best, but I tend to disagree with some of their advice. If you're gay grab "Gym" or "Muscular Development". Not that there's anything wrong with that. I honestly don't know what the articles are like in these. The fruity covers scare me off. zeke_b

good reply zeke actually, i think there is no "best". "worst" goes to musclemag, definately. "most promising would have to go to NPC news...i'd like them to cover ALL NPC shows, cut out all the IFBB shit in there <already in FLEX>, and put more pictures of local competitions in there!!! The only shows i ever see them covering are national events, IFBB shows <come on now...it's called "NPC" news, for christ's sake!>, and NPC president Jim Manion's shows.....maybe i'm just pissed that it never shows any coverage from the west! sorry, had to rant ------------------

im shocked that most people recommend flex over ironman!!!!! ironman is years ahead of flex in training they have alot of good colums about all types of training and nutrition. flex is the same commercial shit everytime. they havent discussed anything cutting edge ever. s()(...)/''..)e/''K

10 years ago Muscle Mag Inter. was the bomb, lots of good info. Then Flex was pretty good but no roid info. PUMP is pretty good, but still their info seems to be off at times. I think Zeke said it best.

If i had to pick one it would be Muscular Development. I am more interested in reading about sports training and they seem to cover it the best. I love ragin John Ramano articles on the last page. He loves to bash on fat people and so do I. By the way didnt anyone see the goldberg poster they screwed up. All the pics of him have his tattoo on his left shoulder where it actually is but in the free poster it's on his right arm. ------------------

I'll just stick with T-mag. ------------------

Unfortuneatly I would have to say PUMP. There's only two good sections in the whole magazine; 1- Anabolic Faq 2- The Girls of PUMP Other than that the whole magazine is a supplement advertisement.. There training articles suck, and every time they have an interesting article it always leads to " and now you can order this amazing new product at........." ------------------

I quit reading BB rags altogether. Instead I spend my time reading articles on the internet at powerlifting sites, here, and general keyword searches. What is a BB rag these days anyways other than 60%+ ads? Count the number of full page ads next time and you will be suprised at what you find. 300 pages of Flex....har har har.
