my friend was just diagnosed with lymes disease. He has been put on heavy doses of antibiotics. Is it ok for him to take testosterone while on antibiotics? Will this in any way effect his immune system. Will it lessen the effects of the antibiotics? Is it best that he waits, and finishes his medicine protocol, before doing his cycle? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Well Testosterones lower the immune system so if he has that disease right now I think he should concentrate on that first and juice when he is healthy. That's my opinion anyways

Well, two things David Polumbo answered a question similar to this on mesomorphosis.com. I believe the nature of the antibiotics will impede upon the chemical reactions that are needed to occur while on gear to promote hypertrophy. Second, I know an HIV positive man thats using Anavar and Anadrol-50 proscribed by his physician to allow him to experience weight gain. I dont believe steroids would be proscribed to immuno compromised individuals if increased testosterone levels adversly affected the immune system.

Test does not impede the immune system. It depends on the type of antibiotic you're on. Tetracycline for instance, is a broad spectrum antibiotic. It works by inhibiting protein synthesis which of course would effect gains.

tetracycline does inhibit protien synthesis. But most antibiotics will lower it to some degree. Antibiotics work by binding with serum protien to deliver their "payload".
As for lowering the immune system, yeah, I always hear that, too. Ive never got sick while using, so I cant say from experiance, and Ive never seen clinical evidence to support it.
AIDS patients get AS to fight the muscle wasting syndrome associated with advanced AIDS. To me, that evidence alone backs up the fact that any incidental immune system lowering is more than made up for.
