Can anyone explain to me as to why when i put on 30 pounds during a cycle i dont get any new stretch marks but then about a week 2 weeks after i start getting them all over.. when im not gaining anymore weight... ive heard something to do with cortisol or something like that does anyone know why i just literally break out with dozens of big stretchmarks AFTER my cycle instead of during when the skin is actually stretching???

Hey Bro if you go to eBody.com there is a good article by Pat Burke about Strechmarks..here is a portion of it. Men who lift weights to body build might see the striations pop up on various parts of their body. Often starting out quite noticeable in appearance, stretch marks may change with time diminishing from a deep red, thick squiggle to a thin, whitish line. "Nothing will eliminate them or make them completely disappear," says dermatologist Dr. Doris J. Day. "But they will fade." All in all bro I think it has to do with the contracting of the muscle tissue...but I'm sure there are a few bro's who are better versed in this area. Hope that helps

Schnick...I just have to say that I have the utmost sympathy for you. I personally do not have a serious stretch mark problem, but it is obvious that you do. Almost every post you put up is about stretch marks. Judging by the amount of posts you put up about this then it is obviously something that weighs heavily on your mind. I think we all know how depressing that can be. I have one stretch mark under my arm that is 5 inches long and almost more than an inch wide in the middle. Luckily it is hidden because it looks like someone ran me through with a sword in my armpit. I couldn't imagine having problems with that all over. I hope someone can give you good advice because unfortunately I cannot. Just want you to know that I really feel for you bro because it would be so discouraging for what I consider to be my number one love to be directly correlated to causing my biggest problem. One of those damned if you do, damned if you don't sort of things. Good luck to ya man. ------------------

I asked a friend of mine, she's pregnant, about stretchmarks a couple of months ago. She told me to use Clarins Huile Tonic Oil it's a special oil for treating and preventing stretchmarks. I decided to try it and the results where amazing. Strechmarks that I already had faded away fast and I haven't gotten any new. It's supposed to be used before you get stretchmarks, but it worked very well with fading them too. It's worth a try!!

Yeah, Shniken, your stretch marks must be a big problem because that is what almost all of your posts are about. Surely it couldn't be that bad. Or could it? Maybe if they are bothering you that bad, it is time to go natural bro...NOT!

Hey Shiken, Have you ever tried a self-tanner or a tanning bed.. I notice that mine are not as noticeable in the summer when I'm tanned up. It helps them blend a little better.. Just a thought.. ------------------

Yeah guys im sorry for posting so many things about this im just trying to find out as much as i can about this because like you said it is a no win sitution.. i cant stop working out now after how hard ive worked for what i have and i no that if i keep working out new ones are going to keep poppping up so im trying to find some kind of reasurance to let me know like that eventually even if its years down the line theres some sort of surgery or something and im also trying to find out every which way i can to prevent getting anymore.. its just a bad situation for me right now ill get over it though.. i have to say though that for about 5 seconds i was thinking that i would stop working out but that flew by as fast as it came.. i guess id rather be huge with stretch marks.. then turn into a fat fuck with stretch marks.. right????

Just curious, have you talked to any plastic surgeons or dermatologists about this. Seems like they would know the best solution.

I've heard that you can use Retin A for three months and it will take the dark red out. I guess is kills the skin and the new skin that is growing back is stretchable. There is stuff that women use when they are pregnant that contains coco butter and something elst the will improve skin elasticity. ------------------ |
