i am doing a winny/eq cycle. Will i have problems with losing strength? if so, should i use fina to get some strength gains | ||

i used the fina/eq/winny cycle this summer for a contest and actually set some new records with my lifts. On my worst days I found myself at 80-90% of my mass season lifting range. I didn't cut out the carbs to drastic levels like before also. | ||

So i should be about 90% as strong as i would regularly? | ||

It took me 9 years to figure out how, but it is possible. Basically it boils down to understanding periodization and powerlifting techniques. For example:during my current bulking cycle, I am doing an 8 week periodization/powerlifting routine. At week 8, I am going to switch to a more traditional lifting scheme involving higher reps and more variation. During that time I am going to eat normally and hope that my metabolism plus stanzolol will get me down within striking distance of my goals (two week time frame). I am going to continue that traditional scheme for a month. At that point, I am going to switch back to another powerlifting routine. At the same time, I am going to incorporate more sprinting and lower my calories below maintainence. It's a constant struggle, but I never manage to lose any strength this way. The only thing that messes up my phases is outside (work, family) factors. | ||

all that was foreign to me... i lift heavy for mass, 8-6-4-3-2-1. i was gonna start doing reps of 8-10... I depend on my strength for rugby too... I heard you are supposed to get good strength and size gains from winny/eq... i just cant afford to lose strength | ||

I took anavar and winny cutting and my strength actually went up a bit. Try anavar and halo to stay strong. Also don't change you training still lift as heavy as possible. ------------------ | ||

TheBoxer, you are always upset why the older bros on this board give you shit about using AS at your age. Well you just admitted that you don't know what you are doing in the gym. Sure, you might understand form and function of the exercises, but if you don't know how to periodize your training, you have not maximized your natural genetic potential. I have yet to see someone under 20 use periodization in their workouts. When I was natural, everyone would come up to me with questions about how I was so strong for my size. I tried to explain briefly about what I did, but the typical kiddie response was "Sheeit. That's too complicated. Just lift bro!" I would just laugh at them because there was no other response I could muster. So get on-line, research powerlifting and periodization, build yourself a REAL program, use it NATUARLY and then when that doesn't work anymore, guys like me will feel comfortable answering your questions. | ||

What I did bro is keep it short and simple. As I started the cycle, I knew the end date....the contest. Therefore I knew how many weeks I needed to peak. I started at week 12 with working everything once a week, hard and long 10-15 sets/bodypart. As I got closer and recovery got harder I started sheding exercises and sets. By the end of the dieting 12 weeks I was doing 4-6sets / bodypart with extreme intesity and it worked. My numbers actually went up, recovery was at its best, I rested as much as possible and it happened. THE THING TO REMEMBER IS...Most people never get this, that your not trying to grow during a diet phase, simply trying to keep what you've got. The problem is most people still think alot of training is required to get cut, but thats wrong. Sure, cardio is a must everyday but lifting should only be done just enough to insure maximal stimulus with minimal breakdown and weardown of body resources. You simply are not consuming enough calories to ensure continued recovery on a standard lifting routine. |
