Sust,This is cumulative overtraining! ONCE in awhile while on you can double up on a bodypart but not like that. Think about this. If I did 600lb deadlifts and the rest of my back workout on Sunday. How could I do ANY sort of back work for a LONG while. The same premise appplies to chest, shoulders, ect. Calves and abs dont really apply. If you can honestly say you can hit a body part 2x/wk you arent training hard enough. Not to flame. Your never gonna have the chance to 2 grow like this

Sust, Train each body part ONCE a week. There is a website that covers this extensively http://www.cyberpump.com

You want to give the muscles ample time to repair...repair=growth...and we all want to grow.....Hit each muscle group as hard as you can once in a 6-7 day cycle, dont take my word for it, try it and see for yourself....Overtraining can be a hard pill to swallow, more is better doesnt work in our game.....

Sust, I trained full body MWF for most of the 80's. Then I found out it was wrong and I couldn't believe. WTF more is better. In all that time I ignored the fact that my best workout came on Monday with 2 days rest.
Then I read Arthur Jones who says once a week. THAT'S BULLSHIT I said, once a week? I started hearing it more and more so I tried it. HOLY SHIT I wasted all that time!!! Once a week per body part works better.
I know that when I'm on, I don't feel like I need the 6 days in between squats or rows. But I do. Like BB says above me it's a hard pill to swallow at first. If you go to the site I posted above trust me they cover it. I don't agree with all of HIT by Arthur Jones but the resting part of it is dead on.
