Interesting question Sust-Man. I would like to know the answer myself. We should have a few guys getting fairly close to 50 now. Coe, Zane, Draper, Beckles, Glass, Bannout, Columbu, Robinson, Wilcoskz and even Schwarzenegger just to name a few.

Lee Priest's comments notwithstanding, I think there's a big difference between the usage of the likes of Arnold and Zane compared with the current guys.

Arnold and say Rhul have a little different
factors to key in before you could make such a general idea.

I would say that using gear non-stop (no matter how well you plan it) would tax your body enough to actually shave off a few years. It would be interesting to see if it comparable to bad habits such as excessive drinking and smoking.

Non-stop AS would definitely take a toll on the liver, prostate, and kidneys (not to mention growth hormone and insulin), so yes their lives are being shortened...

i have a better question, wtf is the point to live to 100 years or even 90. shit no offence but lets be realistic those people sit in a room, to old to do anything (really) and wait for death. i honestly dont wana live that long, ill be happy to live to 80. 75 would be perfect. theres no point for me. i know u should charish life, but i rather live my life to the fullest now then to the longest. u know what i mean?

Omega,

The only problem with your theory is that you would be broken down like a 90 year old at 45 years of age and still suffer through your last few years before you die.

I was speaking physiologically. The human body is not evolutionarily made to live successfully past 40 years of age.

It will take several million years to evolve into living longer (and being healthy).

Yes, but Arnold has had heart surgery and kidney dialysis. That is not healthy in my eyes.

Plus he is a millionaire. If you cannot keep yourself young with millions then I don't know what will.

Who the hell wants to live past their prime? When you get old and ugly your dick don't work worth a damn. Most of the old people I know just sit around watching TV and talking about what medication they are taking for whatever ailment. You can have old age; I'm gonna juice like a muther!

Is Arnold really on kidney dialysis?
This is a major thing and it seems this would effect his ability to appear in public and star in movies. Working out would be a chore to someone undergoing dialysis also. Any opinions or input on this? Anyone working out while undergoing kidney dialysis?

I will clarify my statement. He has been on kidney dialysis before. I do not think he is on it all of the time.

Some smoke, drink, eat eggs and bacon and live to be 100, others have heart attacks at 29...so many factors go into how long you live, you can't really answer this question, but I do agree that the old-school guys are probably going to live longer than the new wave of year-on mass monsters, but again, these guys might be healthier than we think...? Just my 2 cents...Bodybuilding, and any other sport for that matter, really hasn't been around long enough to make sush generalizations about life-span!

yeah Arnold had a triple bipass. Whether it be genetics or the fact gear caused it we wont know. I dont think gear in general will hurt you just as long as you dont overdo it, pros, thats a different story.

You can bet I'll be on hormone therapy when I get older. GH and test for me, hopefully it'll (the GH) be cheaper and affordable to the general public by then.

Arnold is 50! this year. He had a triple bypass due to a genetic abnormality that was detected when he was a kid, before any AS. If I look that damn good when I'm 50, I'll stick a needle in my ass any day! FYI, I'm 39 and I'm not your average fat ass, in this age group. I'm a buff fat ass, in this age group.
