is it necessary to count calories... i'm on my bulking cycle right now and i eat whatever i can... if i feel that i don't get enough calories, ill have an extra shake/weight gainer... do you think that's a good idea or should i start counting?

You've got to have a general idea, just so you can make adjustments if you need to. Now when yuo're bulking, and you don't gain fat too easy, then live it up and eat anything you come in contact with. But when it's time to cut, make sure you know exactly what you're taking in!
