is there any way you can help to clean your receptors while you're on an off period?

there was a thread the other day in which someone spoke of using a low dose dnp for the purpose of cleansing receptors. it may be that dnp diffuses accross cell membranes and rids the body of impurities.....just a guess though. i too am interested to hear anyones comments on this Unity66

I use Comet on mine, but for those really dirty ones, I use Ajax with a scrubbing brush. ------------------

Twisted_Steel or Macro, either of you guys want to tackle this one?

DNP will clean out the receptors... of course it's a different story whether you are willing to take the risk... john

This concept will never die. Androgen receptors are not static components of the cell membrane, they diffuse into the cell most notably into the nucleus and bind DNA. The cell makes new receptors to take the place of those in use, so the concept of "cleaning" a receptor is erroneous.

C, wouldn't eventual receptor potential be met with the introduction of an over abundance of exogenous anabolics thus taking us to the point, the cleansing of receptors to optimize uptake? get big or get out

Although intellectually and physically inferior to David Jumbo Polumbo he and I do have one thing in common. DNP is poison I will not advocate its use or advise people on how to use it. If you proscribe to the receptor degredation theory, some do not. Then only abstinance from androgens will do. Its that simple. Ya your right Cockdezel, the phrase "cleaning of receptors" is erroneous. Thats a pedestrian point, what's more your one misinformed bastard if you think androgen receptors are produced to replace the receptors already occupied by androgenic stimuli.

I believe I was shoving a half pint of ice cream down my throat while simultanously trying to type. I was referring to your comment on androgen receptors being dynamic not static. I have never heard of receptor reproduction. There nature is similar to that of a brain cell. They are there, they change, but they dont replicate or engauge in some form of positive compensation when their next door neighbor receptor puts up the no vacancy for androgen signs.

Who would have thought a subject so boaring and repeatitive could turn into comic relief. T Bone

It is good that you spice up your posts with emoticons and humor, since from what i am coming to learn, more and more, is that you do not have a grasp of cellular and molecular physiology. To go into detail concerning the dynamics of receptors would take forever, and I can't explain to you what took me years to learn in college. A good start would be "Molecular Biology of the Cell" and "Genes V".

Ya, I guess I have a gift. Its called making information pallatable for the average person. Im certain your the author of a number of respected thesis within the academic community. I cant tell you how much you impress me with your grasp on molecular biology. Perhaps you can send me one of your text books so I might one day be able to put up to par with your ingenious academic self. Simply put, at the moment your a putz. ------------------ [This message has been edited by Twisted_Steel (edited September 03, 2000).]

Well TWISTED, you started it not me, so here goes. Let's take a look at this gift you have for making information "pallatable" to the average person: "I was referring to your comment on androgen receptors being dynamic not static. I have never heard of receptor reproduction. There nature is similar to that of a brain cell. They are there, they change, but they dont replicate or engauge in some form of positive compensation when their next door neighbor receptor puts up the no vacancy for androgen signs." Excuse me while I laugh in your face. OK, now where did you read this fact that receptors are predetermined at birth as neurons are? Was this covered in a recent issue of "Mens Health" or "Tiger Beat"? So when researchers do Northern Blots and in-situ hybridization to look at the activity of AR modulation, all that mRNA that they detect is producing what? HMMMM?? "If you proscribe to the receptor degredation theory, some do not. Then only abstinance from androgens will do. Its that simple." Research has shown that upon castration, male rats show a down-regulation of AR's. Now where did they go? In the cell's back pocket? And upon androgen administration, there is an increase in AR levels. Must be magic, HUH? But I am sure you have references to support your controversial theory, maybe something written by science pioneers, like Greg Zulak or Paul Borreson. So please, anytime, post some evidence to support your ideas...I am not too stubborn to admit to being wrong. And finally: "Simply put, at the moment your a putz." You got me on this one...I am just jealous that I am not, how do we say it?..."215lbs of TWISTED STEEL and PURE SEX APPEAL". Dude, I think you need to relieve some posion. Momentairly, put down your text book, I know its gonna be hard. Find your self some pornographic material. Engauge in some form of "auto erotic self stimulation", thats how you would put it right? Its possible this may ease your tension. 215LBS of Twisted Steel and Pure Sex Appeal! Ok, enough of my silly bullshit let me address the crux of my problem. Cockdezl you are like Jumbo Shrimp, Natural Bodybuilder; your an oxymoron, a BRILLIANT MORON! This is forum which appeals to a vast demographic. Although I would wage my last cent the 80% of these members are of above average intelligence, I doubt there intellectually prepared for discussion at your level. Your method of dispensing advice and information is comparable to a professor's instructing a class of graduate students. Appropriate for its definate setting, inapplicable to EVERY DAY LIFE. Your an asset to this forum, I am simply saying that in the future, instead of blinding us with this supperfluous mind numbing information, perhaps you can err on the side of brevity and just get to the freaking point. Im sure if someone wants a descriptive lecture on the splendors of oxidative phosphorilation you will be the first one asked. Thus ends any an all issues with you, live long and prosper, may the force be with you, have a nice day, wondering if you can bench the bar, good day.
