No one wants to help someone who has not tried to help themselves, the board loves to help, but only after you show that you have done a little homework. This site has a goldmine of information. Search the ARCHIVES and read through the topic you want to find out about - this is the QUICKEST and MOST COMPLETE way to get CURRENT answers to your question. 9 times out of 10 your question has been answered many times, by many different people. Bump this sh*t up. I sometimes tell people to do a search and some people (H2O) have made comments about me doing that but it is only because I have done a search on the same subject and know for a fact they would get much more info by doing a search. Search first, then ask if you can't find the answer. Sometimes telling people to do a search is the best thing we can do for them. Then they come back and can now ask a much more detailed and thought out question. | ||

Is the archive searchable? Last time I checked (yesterday) it wasn't. 1911 is right. Somebody should find and repost the "Newbies MUST read" thread. Several of these kids have gotten creamed for posting something silly, but it's hard to blame them when they've just joined the board and haven't been warned. I can't find the newbie thread anywhere, and suggested several days ago that a mod get on it and dig up. No response. Bjaarki | ||

i use the search all the time and 90% of the time it really helps but maybe you should also include something in there like dont ask stupid questions about sources | ||
