For some reason my muscles (mostly forearms and outer pecs) are cramping up just doing everyday things like reaching for the telephone. I'm not on anything right now. Drinking lots of water. What could be the cause of this? Any vitamins or minerals I could be lacking that's causing this?

Pottasium shortage is usually the leading cause of muscle cramping. You might try supplementing some just to see if it helps.

Yeah you can get potassium in a pill form, also bannanas are high in this too.Are you on creatine cause that may also be causing you to be more dehydrated.

No, not taking any creatine. I had a suspicion that potassium could be a problem since I don't get too much. I'll try picking up a potassium supplement.

Have to agree the guys. You need more potassium and possibly magnesium. I get prescription strength potassium now. Close to contest 4 weeks out usually, start with hip flexors moves down quads into calves, shins, and feet. Try that for your 7 am wake up call!!? And then the cramps off and on continue for the rest of the day. I can recommend a doctor that does prescribe them and B-12 shots pre-contest.
