Ya that's great but the reason people are getting busted is because cops are posing as customers and all the incryption in the world isn't going to help you there. Shit, for all you know I could be a cop and regardless if you use hushmail or not I could probably bust half the people on this board right now. Encrypted email is NOT a protect all. The extra security may be good, but it probably won't help you from not getting busted. Ya, sure great, now the cops can't read your email so instead they'll just email you themselves pretending to be just another bro from the board. ------------------ | ||

Although big Cubans got a point, what are you throwing out the baby with the bathwater for? (sorry for those that havent heard the phrase) Why don't you want to use it, have you guys heard of carnivore? Why raise the attention to yourself and your e-mail account. CUT DOWN THE RISKS AND GET ENCRYPTED, dont be lazy its free! Should we just say, well if they want us they can get us and just forget about all security measures we can take? If a auto theif want your car hell get it, but you still lock your car dont you? why? Because it is ADDED safety, no one is saying that if you get hushmail you wont get in any trouble - they are saying that its better than nothing. I agree with you cuban, but the thing that gets to me, Is that i have a lot of trust for a lot of brothers on the board. Im sure a lot of us do. It just gets harder, to help eachother out, without being paraniod(sp). But there is nonthing we can do to be totally secure but we can take all precautions, and try to be secure.But If they want you bad enough, then your fucked, b/c will come get ya. i believe securitty is deffinately a precaution, but the problem with to many guys and sometimes even myself is that they say to much, i said this before there is no discretion here at all! you never know who has their eyes and ears on us, then you get some guys saying i just scored this and that, or i just took a shot, anyone with common sense knows that this guy has shit in his house, your admitting too much to people you don't know, ask questions without always making yourself the party your talking about, ask for a friend for example. ask about prices but don't say your going to mexico to get it. you never know whats being saved and someday you may get busted and they'll have all that also. if you think they can't find out who you are( they probably have all our names already anyway)then you are one misguided mother fucker....discretion bros thats what will keep us around longer then other boards.just my $.02 if anybody cares to hear it. ------------------ | ||

Although I must agree with El Cubano I still think it is best to make the trail back to you as hazy as possible. Nonetheless, the Feds will find you if they really have a hard-on for you. No offense Legend, because I think you are an awesome and well educated dude, but we all know that there is a lot of shit talked up on this and other boards. How much is true and how much is lies nobody knows for sure so I don't think posting something here will necessarily increase your likelihood of getting busted in most cases. | ||

I think the best protection is probably to know exactly what the law says regarding steroids, what the limits are before you get hit with distribution, what are the best defenses,etc. Someone posted a great legal site here once, I'm sure most of you know what I'm talking about. I checked it out, it was great. You really can't protect yourself if you don't know what you're protecting yourself from. Jail just isn't specific enough. Anyway, I hear some Federal prisons are better than most suburbs. You just play tennis and shit until you get out. | ||

The Feds that sit around in offices that have to read intercepted e-mail everyday couldn't care less about the average gear user. They see THOUSANDS of e-mails everyday that say "I'm on 500mg of cyp for 8 weeks! I'm gotta be huge bro!!!" or "I just scored a q.p. for the show this weekend!". Do they care, hell no. What they are looking for is the guy that says "I've got 1000 amps in stock that I'll unload-cheap." That bust is going to help get them off the computer and into the field where they joined the FBI for in the first place. It's all politics. If you are worried, just use an alias and don't be a distributer. |
