If it is only a little bit of pain then it might not be gyno yet. I got some pain on my third week of my cycle and it lasted for about a week before it went away completely. If you are pretty sure it is gyno (very sore nips and swelling) then start at 10mg of nolva a day and see if this does the trick. If not then up the dose to 20 mg, but I wouldn't start with 20 mg unless you are having real bad pain in the nips. Did you do the shower test? ------------------

Hey Maverik, tell me more about this shower test. My pain is difficult to explain, it's not a very sore pain to my nipple ,it's more like a muscle pain. I can touch my nipples and it's not bodering me at all with pain. I'll do this shower test before.

Would you mind explaining the shower test to the rest of us?

Well it is really just a rule of thumb. I have heard it mentioned several times on this board but have never tried it. What you do is get in the shower and turn the water on as hot as you can stand it. Then let the water hit your nips. If they hurt so bad that you can't even stand the pain then this is supposedly a good indication that gyno is starting. This is not something that I have tried and I don't know if it works that good but I have heard several people mention using it for a basic test. No flames if you don't agree because like I said, I have personally never tried it.

If it is not hurting that bad and there is no swelling then it is probably not gyno yet, although this could mean it is on the way. Hold off on the nolv until it really starts to hurt or starts swelling. I know on my last cycle mine always felt weird but I ended up realizing it was because they were a little more sensitive and stayed hard all the time. One time while working chest, they started hurting, it was kind of a tingly sort of pain. But it went away and I never needed the nolv. You might want to start taking it to be on the safe side but if it were me I would wait until you start getting more noticeable warning signs.
